Definitely not a "hotel" but more like service apartments.
Close to Publika which I like to hang out at and Hartamas shopping centre is directly opposite this property. If you have reasons to stay out of the KL City area, can consider this place.

1. Reception and the actual residences are not located in the same block. Took me awhile to find the reception. Staff was friendly and gave me the high floor as requested. When I checked in to my room, the reception called me to ask if I was satisfied with the room and do let them know if I need anything.

2. The security guards were friendly and always greeted me when I come by.
Had a problem with my security access card to access the lift floors. So everytime I needed to return to my room level, I need to find the security guard on duty. Even reception did not have a spare card for me.
Room was using the usual Keys to open and not electronic access. Kind of old school style here.

3. Rooms were spacious but the position of the aircon is not centralized. This means it takes a long while for the room to cool down.
Toilets were clean but the shower area had no curtains/doors. This means the floor is always wet after shower! However due to the good ventilation, the floor tends to dry quickly. No tubs.

Bed comfort was average but the pillows were not comfortable. Too soft for me.

4. Plenty of parking if you drive however, the payment machines are always out of order. So you got to hunt for the working ones. $1RM per entry.

5. I will return to stay at this place again if there's promotional rates.

Lastly..... management should provide your guests disposable bathroom slippers. Floors are not carpeted so walking on the cold tiles at night can be such discomfort.

This is one of the most horrifying and lousiest hotels I have ever stayed. I chose this Hotel due to its proximity to my place of appointment. However, the stay really gave me the creep and left much to be desired.

It looks nice on the surface and in the website but.....it is really a big "let-down". Even though is is located within the Hartamas shopping complex, it is not a safe place especially for ladies to stay. The parking area is massive but look eery! There is no guard at all. Despite the many news circulated about providing securities for ladies shoppers, the management of Damas / Hartamas shopping complex is NOT bothered. It seems to hold true to the saying "Don't do anything unless it happens!".

There is no signboard from the parking area direct to the lobby or to the hotel. The reception is situated in one corner with no clear signboard. There are only a handful of foreign guards guarding the so-called hotel compound. The suites which I was given was situated in different block from the reception. As stated by another guest, there is no covered walkway. If it rains, you will be wet.

The hotel tries to incorporate some kind of security features by giving hotel guests access cards for the elevator. If you do not have the access card, you will not be able to access the particular floor where your suite is situated. When I checked in, no access card was given. When I questioned the reception, I was given the answer that a guard will always be around the elevator. After dinner (about 10pm), when I wanted to get back to my room, NO guard was manning near the elevator! After waiting for more than 5 minutes, I had no choice but to walk up the staircase. Is this a good security feature??

The room is rather big. However, as the "beauty" is only skin deep. The designer of the suites has never put a guest's comfort in mind when designing the suites. As the room is big or rather long, there is only one air-cond and the air-cond is fixed in the living room. There is a glass door that could be used to separate the living room from the bedroom. However, if one were to close the glass door, the person will not have access to the air-cond.

Having a washing machine is not really useful if you are only staying for a night or 2. What is more important is to have sufficient plug points. As this is essential for those who need the plug points to connect to their laptop or to charge their phones.

There is also no space in the bathroom to hang our clothes when you need to shower.

We stayed here for a business trip. Arriving late at night our booking had been mixed up and they only had one room instead of our three booked rooms.

At no time during check were we advised :
- you need to turn on a light switch looking button 10 minutes before you want to have a shower to get hot water
- you need to lock your room with the key as you leave, it doesn't auto lock like every other new hotel would
- the Internet login details provided will only allow one device, needed to get multiple logins from reception
- very limited vegan options at breakfast
- taxis will only come to the hotel with a booking usually about 20 minute wait. We needed to walk to the shopping centre next door to get a taxi

Far from KL in Sri Hartamas, not worth staying here unless your office is very close by (nothing else in the area).

Check-in was reasonably quick and friendly. The coridors are reminiscent of a brighly lit factory. On getting into the room it was filthy and stank. It took nearly 20mins for the front desk to respond with a room move. No apologies, no making it up, nothing. Clearly it's such a common issue that it's no big deal and common courtesy and customer service are not known.

The new room was also not properly cleaned and the cream coloured floor tiles make the dust, hairs and cockroaches quite visible. The towels on the rack, however, were nicely placed to hide the blood splatter on the walls - which remained there throughout the stay.

Avoid this place at all costs. It's inconveniently located, rooms and beds are uncomfortable, filthy and the service is bad.

Room Tip: Avoid this place.

The pros:

- Friendly reception
- Decent breakfast spread
- Short drive (15mins) away from KL city centre
- Suburban shopping mall just opposite
- Free wi-fi

The cons:

- It was really difficult finding this place initially. Poor signage (just a small signage at the front part of the building) leading to the place so we had to circle around the building over and over again before we finally found it. And it was well past midnight so it was rather frustrating to do so.
- Laggy internet connection.
- Rooms are not well-appointed. No plugs by the bedside.
- Aircon didn't work well, perhaps due to its poor positioning. It was situated in the living room, rather near the toilet. So this meant that we couldn't really feel the AC in the bedroom despite having blasted the temperature down low. In the end we had to leave the sliding doors open so that it wouldn't obstruct the AC flow.

I went there with a couple of friends and we booked the standard rooms meant for two. My review would be as follows:-

Location:
the place is rightly situated at the heart of KL. it is just a stone throw's away from KLCC and the KL High Court. Mont' Kiara, Hartamas and Publika, the expat hangout place famed for its arts and well-heeled revelers are less than a few minutes drive. Despite being located in the hubbub of the urban landscape, Damas Suites is a really quiet short of being eery given that not much business has yet to open up shop.

Faciities:
if you plan to take a few days break with some ftiness activities involved, the gym moderately equipped. its not meant for seasoned bodybuilders or athletes rather for those who needed to exercise somewhere away from home but not in a commercial gym. there's also an open air swimming pool and also a barbeque place (which have seen better days i guess). the front desk was helpful all of the times i have been here (twice). the guards were also nice enough to help us find our room and the parking was ample and you will always get to park at P1. the elevators however have some room for development. some of the elevators have yet to have its proper interior installed and the management instead relied on blue construction covers which were hideous to the sight.

Room:
here is what i have to complain. the designer tried to make the room look modern and chic but i guess it must have failed terribly. firstly, damas incorporated a business desk but the rooms lack proper power points. other serviced residents on the same par seem to have sockets in abundance. the electric stove has a switch which was very difficult to reach and we didnt expect for it to be switched off upon our arrival. there was also lack of good amount of utensils, oven and microwave which are essential for travelers who prefer to stay in and cook. floor and kitchen towels were also sparse. the design of the bathroom was nice but i found it weird that the shower cubicle had to be very open hence allowing water to splash onto the dry side of the toilet. the built in cupboard was also awkward especially if one is watching the TV while the other searches the cupboard because the sliding doors obstruct the view of the TV.

one thing i like about the room was the washing machine although it was not an essential part of any serviced residence. the aircond and TV and the channel selection on the tv were great too. the internet connection via wifi was also swift and the front desk were kind enough to provide more than one username and password for our room.

Conclusion:
damas suites and residences is a really good place to go to for a short break from home and work. its nice for couples or small families. the price is reasonable and i hope the management will do its best to continue improving the place. i will definitely return.

Located in a suburban area with a shopping mall close by, we spent a night here with our 4 month old just for a mini getaway. The units are very much like private residences, tastefully furnished, rather new-ish in a quiet area with many shoplots yet to be occupied. The mall is a short walk across an overhead bridge with sufficient distractions including restaurants, Starbucks, a supermarket and Times bookstore.

The staff were courteous, and provided a baby cot when requested. The security guards patrolling the area also helped by pushing the baby stroller (in the rain) and lent us an umbrella. Free wifi is available in the room, and a fridge, kitchenette and utensils are handy for those planning to cook. Breakfast which was included was pretty ok, simple but filling with a selection of breads, cereal, fry up, congee and fried noodles.

Free parking is available at the basement, and we would have no qualms recommending the venue for a short term stay if you need to be in the Hartamas/Mont Kiara area.

We were happy with our stay, and
