PODs The Backpackers Home & Cafe

Really liked this place. It was nice, cosy and unique in its own way. Artistic. Sheets were clean and towels are provided. Very easy to get to places from here. Good collection of books at their mini library. Breakfast was OK.. Would definitely come back

Room Tip: Ask for a POD with a window, they have nice wooden blinds.

Really enjoyed it. A cool place. The chill out lounge is really relaxed and the staff make you feel really welcome. The complimentary Internet is fast and reliable, including free WIFI which is a must at good backpackers. The complimentary breakfast is a nice gesture. The dorms, bathroom and shower feel clean. The library and games are really cool. The AC is a great amenity. Overall a sweet place for cheap accommodation while my compromising comfort.

PODs i located near KL Sentral and it is easy to access from the airport by bus or train. The hostel is clean the staff give you a towel and clean linen for the bed. You must take off your shoes before entering the room section in order to keep the the hostel clean. The showers have hot water which is very nice. The receptionist are helpful if you need help with anything. Breakfast is very simple only toast, butter, jam, tea, and instant coffee. There are two computers in the chill-out section with free internet. Wi-fi is also free but the signal does not cover the entire hostel.

This is one of the best run hostels I've experienced for being respectful of peace & quiet. The party and drinking crowd won't find happiness here. It was fairly clean, staff polite, but you had to constantly ask for A/C and it was officially turned off during the daytime. No fridge to store your items and the TV is not hooked up except to run DVDs. Breakfast is basic white bread, jam & margarine. It is easy walking distance to monorail, KL Sentral LRT and other transportation.

Room Tip: Ask for POD with window ... otherwise, you may feel like a prison cell.

The hostel is located just 3 minutes from KL monorail station and 10 minutes walk to the KL sentral Metro which will transfer you to almost everywhere in Kuala! there is a large number of supermarkets near the hostel you can buy what you need & ofcourse a seven-eleven market which is 24 hourse beside the KL monorail station. I choosed mixed drom to stay, but remind that private rooms are also inside the dorm and the walls don't reach the ceiling and some noises if exixst , would be unavoidable. Anyway I was there in low season and was completely silent. the beds, toilets and bathrooms were clean. Keep in mind you should take off your shoes going inside the dorm. The receptionists, Sue & AZAR were very polite and helpful to give guids to you if needed. I am surprised howevere there was a TV and DVD player in the lobby but no TV channels were accessible! For check in if you arrive after 12 PM you must wait at the street untill 7 Oclock in the morning!!

Room Tip: Have a torch if you stay at the dorm, there is Pure Darkness at night and you cannot see anything if...

checked in at hte PODS again after one year... and it was the same... the host was new... AZHAR... and he did a marvellous job.. no doubt... the openness of this backpacker makes it stand out of others... the spick and span beds, sheets, washrooms and sourrounding..... i always like the proximity from KL sentral... walking distance of mere 10 min ... checked out food around in that area too,,, and its pretty cheap

Good consistant quality ... one thing i needed was the wifi in the dorm area, which i think is nt available... well , who wants to sit online after a tired tourist routine all day...

night is very peaceful in PODS B.P.... sometimes one expects to see more price to the dorm beds, but the mere 35 Rm for all this, is really worthy.

Room Tip: al floors are same i guess... with partitions of PODS and DOrMS.. so not to worry about that

All I can say about this place is that it gives you an excellent service. I came very late that time, around 01.00-01.30 in the morning, but Jules, the cool recepsionist, still opens the door for us. And another cool thing about this place is that we can keep our luggage there and take a shower for free even after we checked out. Not even a hotel permits that.... :P
P.S: untuk org Indo mending bawa botol kosong deh kalau ke wc nya....soalnya disana g disediain gayung... :P
