Went to stay there for 3 days and 2 nights recently.Loved the facilities in the apartment - just like staying at home.Kiddies pool/wading pool was ok.However there are some improvements that can be made. The staff needs to be a wee bit friendlier especially when it comes to local guest. it was very different when somerset ampang first open.As for breakfast it was disappointment for 3 days.Menu is almost similar , limited choices , tasteless and flat. Even the bread section was disappointment - the person who was stationed there gave me this murderous look just because i asked for a freshly baked puff(which is on the baking tray and already cooked). It was a better spread when they do not have a coffee house.I would suggest that somerset ampang have their own coffee house instead relying on SOULed Out to provide food.Everything was better when somerset ampang first open

I can totally recommend the Somerset as a super variation to a standard hotel. As we had a 19 month old baby it totally fitted our requirement. A small apartment with a main bed + small room for baby cot + living area and small but nicely equipped kitchenette. All the appliances were top quality including washing machine, fridge/freezer, two flat tv, i-pod compatible hi-fi. Location is a little away from the shopping heart of the city, but a short taxi ride is easily arranged.
Lovely little pool and kids pool on the roof top.
I would totally recommend this hotel and would definitely stay there again on any future trip to KL.
One note to travelers (not connected to hotel service at all) make sure that the taxi you use is on a meter. Many times this is not the case and the driver demanded a fixed fee that was 2 or 3 times higher than a meter price.

We reached in the morning and our studio rooms were not ready. Without any hesitation they immediately upgraded us to the one bedroom suite. The place is fully functional with all that you need to live in Kuala Lumpur. Apart from a stocked refrigerator everything you need is provided.
The view from the swimming pool is absolutely fantastic and is a must see.
The breakfast spread was not large but was fine. By the way food may be an issue since the restaurant attached to the hotel is not great and just about okay. Since hotel is close to the center, eating options are plenty

This is my favourite place stay whenever I come down to KL. I stayed in the studio unit which is good enough for the night. It has a full facility such as kitchen, washing machine/dryer, microwave oven and a big wardrobe. The internet was fast. Everything is very comfortable.

We stayed here for 5 nights, which is more than enough time in KL, but we really enjoyed the comforts and features of these apartments.

We ordered a 2 br apt but were upgraded to a 3 br which includes ensuite, main bathroom, large lounge and kitchen. Furniture and beds are very comfortable. 22nd floor has outside pool and vg gym however, it would be nice if there was extra cover area over the lounge chairs for the afternoon rain. An extra entertainment area for kids would be good also.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. It was always a pleasure to greet them when we left and arrived at the hotel. Hotel is located 5 min walk from train station, so very easy to get around.

Only disappointment with the hotel was the daily breakfast. It is served by "Souled Out" restaurant next door. The selection was very repetitive, limited and refilled very slowly. If it wasn't for the fried eggs, cornflakes and croissants the kids would have starved.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on a high level to avoid the night club noise in the evenings.

Really clean modern, spacious and fresh, could not have asked for more. The breakfast was not great but that do prepare eggs on request and the small croissants were popular with my family. The staff were very friendly and happy. Highlights of the trip were shopping at KLCC, the Library bar, bargains at Chinatown (especially the locked back room at No 263, Jln Hang Lekir for amazing quality designer bags), Valentines roti (have a chat to the owner), Senya Japanese restaurant.

Always get the blue premium taxis if you can, they cost extra (still not much) but are worth every cent.

The kids twin room was better than the adults room, both had ensuite bathrooms but the adults had the bath. The roof top pool is a highlight with a gym, kids pool and a common room.

Room Tip: The apartment has a full size fridge so bring your own supplies if you like - snacks, drinks. 2 bed...

A good breakfast is what I really appreciate in a good hotel, if they can't do it well or at least
decently, I suggest they drop it , the area was the near the road and not well maintained, flies were landing on my food. The food was a total waste of time and my calories to say the least.
