Found this hotel while doing my usual hotel browsing. Nothing come true until I see it with my own eyes, they have super king size bed in their rooms! I've stay here twice and yes I will definitely come back.

This could be the very first 3 stars hotel that I would stay for 2nd time, though there's security issues (night club below hotel and lift with not security). We paid very attractive rates for our first stay there. There's actually nothing to complain about the rooms as you're paying such a affordable rate. Only that they could have better bedding for their pillows. I'm sure the hotel afford to get better pillow options. :)

Hope to come here again with better pillows.

Good location but sorry to see bad maintenance. I stayed in this hotel early this year and found this a little gem in the city. Had problem with the air-conditioner but the ex-manager arranged for us to change room immediately after the complaint reached him the next morning. The present condition is too bad for a new budget hotel with excellent location. Having problem with the lock during my 2 nights stay recently. Nothing was done and we had to walk up and down before we could enter our room. The worst was we couldn't enter the room to pick up our bags for checkout. No one assisted us until an Indian security guard came to our rescue. Although he couldn't open the door but he spent his time calling for assistance. The Manager was having her breakfast in the cafe. Not too sure whether she was not interested to know more about the hassle or she was too busy with her breakfast.

Overall facilities are on par with top rated hotel, but dissapointingly doesn't practise "basic" customer service apart from the friendly porters.
To sum it all up, staffs are treating guests like children and oh ya you pay what you get. Nothing to be over-excited about.

We had a massive room with a huge bed, we liked how it was modern and the door staff were great! It's in Bukit Bintang and (after a lot of research) is probably the best hotel in that area that won't break your budget but still gives you the perks of a nice hotel and is practically next door to malls and monorail. Also about 20 minute walk to Petaling St.

Down sides: we stayed a few nights, on one of them we got the noise of the karaoke. Staff were generally good except for one member who confused us a great deal when it came to paying for our room. Bathroom area needed to be swept better.

Also - free internet

Room Tip: cheaper to book online on a hotels website

I will start with the only grumble i had which i wouldnt normally do. We arrived very early from a flight around 9am we were told that our room wouldnt be ready until 3pm. I understand that this was the check in time however we physically sat in the reception on a sofa watching so many other people being booked into their rooms all throughout the morning. Literally at 3 on the dot we were allowed into our room. I just felt that seeing us sitting there for 6 hours maybe they could have made a little effort to have a room for us even by midday considering check out was 10 am. After a 13 hour flight and very little sleep you can imagine that this wait was agonising.
Apart from this the room was great, clean, bright. Bathroom was well equiped and the shower was great. Never a shortage of hot water, Breakfast was aso very good, The hotel is so close to all the main attractions and giant shopping malls. We would stay again but make sure our flight was later in the day :)

We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights. There are som bad things and some good things.

The good things are:
GREAT location
Good price
Nice rooms
Very friendly security guards.

And some bad things:

* Noisy - you can hear people out at the lobby at night. Its also a disco on the floor below the hotel.

* Cleaning could be better. I put my bag on the upper part of the wardrobe, and it got covered by dust. The phone in the toilet was also covered by dust. Even if i never would use a phone there. Sheets were dirty when we arrived. Better the other nights.

* Yes, they do have free wifi - in the lobby. And yes, they do have internet by cable in the rooms. The only problem is that they dont have the cables. So we had to buy one. Its cheap, but still annoying. But the worst part is that you have to get a new password every day in the reception. No matter if you use Wifi or cable internet.

* Breakfast is not that good.

* The key to the door stopped working 2 times during our stay.
* Safety box was closed on arrival.
* Wardrobe was a a bit broken so it was difficult to open it.

I still recommend it due to its great location.

The tag above actually comes from the Hotel card itself (you can collect one from the reception).
Did I feel the same way? Well, here's my thought on this property...
Hotel features (as claimed by official hotel info): 7-foot bed, 32-inch LCD TV, internet with Wi-Fi, laptop-size safe deposit box, strategic location
Background
I was travelling with a group of 4 so looking for a hotel room which can accommodate all of us in 1 room is kinda hard to find especially in Bukit Bintang area. The option would be either to book 2 hotel rooms or an apartment unit. Sky hotel offers a family room which features 1 7-foot bed and a single bed in a reasonable price (around RM210 per night) compared to other hotels in the area which can provide similar bedding configuration.
Booking
Booking made through the hotel official website will be passed to third party (an online hotel reservation company based in Kuala Lumpur), guest will be asked to enter the credit card number etc. But in the end, it's the hotel who will process your booking and deduct your credit card (despite the hotel will need you to pass on the authorization form once again - at first I thought it's weird, but it worked ok).
The best fare can be obtained by emailing the hotel directly.
Location
Despite being located at Bukit Bintang, I didn't see the hotel's location as strategic. The hotel building is hidden in a street off Bukit Bintang and nearer to the junction of Bukit Bintang and Pudu Street. Since Jalan Bukit Bintang is one way street, the hotel location is particularly bad if you're having a gridlock from the start of Bukit Bintang near KL Pavilion. The nearest shopping mall would be Low Yat Plaza which is 5mins walk passing Royale Bintang and Federal Hotel. Buildings adjacent to Sky hotel are rather having a sad and rundown look with few "seedy" looking clubs adding less "safe" feeling to the area.
Hotel premises
The hotel itself occupying the top 3 floors of 6-storey building. The ground floor only consists of the lobby with a renovated slot (not sure what it is). The first and second floor are DeSwan KTV and dance club which emanating nerve racking and loud thumping sound all night long. Sky Hotel's reception is on 3rd floor and the hotel's own cafe is on 3A floor. Guestrooms are spread from level 3 to 5.
Staff
It's rather correct for TA to categorize this hotel as "BB/Inn". The ground floor lobby only manned by security guard which can dubbed as bellboy if you have plenty suitcases. Come to 3rd floor reception; it's always manned by a single receptionists (despite having 2 computer stations). The other visible staff are those at the cafe and cleaning service personnel. They are all warm and hospitable, but don't expect they will help you with your day planning. If you need a taxi, the security guard can help you call one, but it's always with fixed price. If you want to get metered taxi, you have to find one by yourself.
Check-in
Check-in is fairly fast. The receptionist will ask for deposit (in my case, it's RM50/room). A receipt will be issued and can be used to claim back your money upon check-out. Hotel room key is electronic card of a (new?) different type, you just need to tap it (not inserting) into the door handle and also works to power the room.
Room
The room is spacious with bed configuration as described in the hotel website. It has tile flooring (preferable rather than carpets especially for lower class hotel to ensure it's properly cleaned), wall painted ceiling and laminated wooden panel. The whole amenities look very modern: 32-inch LCD TV, steel luggage rack, wardrobe hidden behind bathroom's door, laptop-size safe deposit box, and unique bathroom layout with laminated glass separator between the bathroom and bedroom. However, there's definitely lack attention of details that makes the whole things look cheap after closer inspection:
1. wall plastering is not perfect, you can see unfinished paint job on the side of bedside tables (see photo)
2. curtain railing: instead of using 2 rails, 2 parts of the curtain share the same railing, makes the curtain very hard to close properly (see photo)
3. light switches are controlled manually instead of a panel that can control everything.
4. Bathroom amenities only limited to bath gel and shampoo (3 each for family room), a sanitary bag, a shower cap, and cotton buds in a plastic bag.
5. Mini bar fridge gets really hot quickly
6. no hand towel. only 3 bath towels and a bathroom mat
7. mixed hangers (some are of wooden while some others are cheap plastic hanger) in the wardrobe (see photo)
8. crazy wiring installation. A single switch controls the lights in the bathroom, the aircon, and bathroom ventilation fan. For those who prefer to sleep with all lights out, don't stay at this hotel, unless you're ok to sleep without airconditioning on. If you want the aircon to keep running, the bathroom lights and ventilation fan must be running also and since the bathroom and bedroom is divided by a glass wall, the bathroom lights will accompany whilst you sleep.
More bad news
(A) for light sleepers: the thumping music from the club in the lower floor can be heard clearly on 3rd floor rooms. Ask the hotel to put you in 5th floor room for quieter night sleep.
(B) for non-smokers: although I didn't find any ashtray inside the room, you will end up smelling smoke anyway especially if you're returning to the hotel at night. When the club downstairs is open, so does hellish smoke penetrating from those places into the elevators.
Check-out
Late check-out request at 1pm can be obtained with no problem. Upon check-out, the deposit was returned in full (provided you return the room key).
Verdict
Some other reviewers may compare the hotel with Hotel Piccolo. I would say Piccolo is much better in terms of location, design, amenities, and attention to details. Sky hotel actually has the potential, but without everything being looked after in details, the operation left much like it's being operated as guesthouse rather than a modern hotel. No suggestion/feedback card available is a clear indication that the management is uninterested to receive guest's comment...

Room Tip: Ask for 5th floor room to stay away from the noise
