“Up all night”

Sahabat was a solid place to stay in KL. Close to the monorail, shops and Chinatown. The rooms and facility were clean though the breakfast was spare and they have a communal fridge in the kitchen area to store food. Thank you to whoever drank almost the whole jar of my very expensive organic OJ. The staff was very sweet and helpful and there was somebody at the desk around the clock.

Our stay was for 3 nights. We found the staff to be most helpful including when it came to directing us to the use of the train system and generally finding our way by foot in KL. The accommodation was very clean generally apart from some mould on our bathroom wall. Location is excellent as it is close to many facilities such as places to eat, money changers and is only a 10 minute to a monorail station.Sahabat Guesthouse is not on a main road and is tucked away - it was generally quiet but we did have one night that was noisy for a while. Breakfast was simple but sufficient - help yourself to cereal, coffee / tea and make your own toast. It was included in the room rate making the Sahabat Guesthouse excellent value for money.

This peaceful little spot is nice to get away from the crowds but can get noisy at night, recommend earplugs for sleeping but once you are inside the grounds you can relax. The staff were friendly and courteous and our stay was a pleasant one.

We stayed at Sahabat Guesthouse twice during our trip to Malaysia, one night upon our arrival and another two nights just before our departure.

It's a small, friendly place with, above all, an excellent location. It is only a few minutes walk away from Jalan Alor, one of the most popular spots for streetfood in Kuala Lumpur. The main bus station is about 15 minutes walk and there is a 24h convenience store just down the road. It's also smack dab in the middle of the shopping district of Bukit Bintang. Most guidebooks recommend this area or somewhere close to Chinatown. Having visited Chinatown, it has changed considerably (not really for the better), so I recommend staying in the area of Bukit Bintang.

The staff was friendly enough, without really providing anything special. We did not expect more and found it to be more than sufficient. There are two small kitchens where you can serve yourself with bread, some spreads and cereal for breakfast. Tea, coffee and milk are also provided.

The rooms and common areas are spotless and modern with IKEA furniture. The beds are comfortable and all rooms have a window (not a given in KL). Since the Guesthouse is in a small cul de sac, the nights are very quiet and even during the day, you will not hear much noise (also not a given in KL).

Aside from the location, the best part is the price. We payed about 120RM (30€) per night, which is fairly standard for hostels and guesthouses in KL. Most of the similarly priced alternatives do not offer the same quality of location or rooms, however.

We just stay in Sahabat for two nights, but the service was great, everyone was helpful and with a good english, witch when travelling in Asia it's a very valuable thing.
A really good value-for-money place.

we stayed there 2 nights over a weekend. We paid a total of RM280 for a Superior Room.

Our room was located on the first floor, with ensuite bathroom. Just outside our window is a road and hence the window and curtain remained closed all the time.

The place is clean so are our room. The location of the place is further in from the bustling area and hence we can some sort of "quietness" in Bukit Bintang area. However our first night was pretty noisy because of the noise from the outside area, 2nd night was much better.

Overall it was a enjoyable stay!

We stayed at Sahabat Guesthouse in May. We were so impressed with the location (very close to many attractions, public transportation, convenience store & restaurants!) and the cleanliness of the guesthouse - we stayed in the family room, and it was very clean.
The staffs were helpful, and the wifi connection was great.
Even though it was a bit noisy at night, but it was still fine for us.
