The Sahabat guesthouse is located in a central area - certainly in walking distance to the major shopping street and just around the corner is the Hop and Hop off bus which was really great and which we caught every day.

It is clean, bright and modern. A real plus is the central courtyard which is clean, leafy and has two areas for breakfast which is provided - toast and cereal etc. Which was more than adequate. The people that work there on the front desk are really nice though not totally across the tourist options for the area (they didn't know about the hop on and hope off bus - which was literally around the corner, or the number 1 rated restaurant also around the corner).

The room is very basic but very clean and modern. of course, very small but cosy instead of claustrophobic.

The biggest issue is definitely the noise. The walls are so thin that when a couple of girls decided to sit in the computer room beside our room they might as well have been in bed with us chatting because I could literally hear them breathing out there. Also noise from construction/street was amazingly loud. I usually sleep through anything but I had serious trouble, so if you are someone who needs real quiet, find some where else. Perhaps due to this people staying here were a bit older and a bit quieter which was a saving grace.

Stay here for nights, given the 2 upper rooms. Very clean, as soon as we got there, there's no hesitation that i had choose the right place.

Raj and other staff served us well, even when i wasn't able to book taxi to the LCC night before, raj able to get us in 2 am. Although its a little more cost, but better than took a risk looking for taxi in the morning.

The wifi can reach all of us, and the mini breakfast was enough to made us start the day.

Definitely gonna stay here in mi next trip to KL.

Some rooms are much better than others. Ours was tiny this time. On previous stay we had a much better room. Staff are friendly but quiet. Situated in pretty dirty street, quite a walk from pavilion etc. Clean and quiet at night. Too expensive for what it offers, but not much choice in KL.

We arrived late at the Sahabat after a delayed flight from Dubai. We were greeted warmly and shown to our standard room which was perfectly adequate for our needs. The bed was comfortable and the shower hot. Breakfast the next morning was self service and simple, and you can sit in a lovely conservatory area to eat it. The guesthouse is in a great location, only five minutes from Bukit Bintang. Raj and his team are so friendly and really helpful. I highly recommend the Sahabat for a great stay in central KL.

We stayed here for 3 nights. We had the tangerine room, which was spaceous and nice (top floor).
The location couldn't be better. You can walk many places, including great local food, the towers etc.
There were lots of moskitos in the common area, which is partially open but that was really the only little thing that I would have liked to be different.
Staff were very nice, extremely helpful when it comes to tips on where to go for massages, laundry etc.
I would definately stay here again.

This guesthouse is in a great location and is a excellent base to explore Kuala Lumpur for those on a budget. It is a 5-10 minute walk to/from a monorail station. Numerous restuarants and food stalls are close by. The staff are friendly and helpful. Our room was simple but very clean and very quiet. The self-service breakfast is basic but okay. There is a communal kitchen and fridge freezer.

Positives : Great Location, Helpful and courteous staff, clean

Negatives : Small rooms, lacks basic amenities, breakfast is very very ordinary.

To sum it up, it doesn't give you a feel that you're on a holiday. Seems more like home.
