We stayed 2 nights and it was good. Location is good. We can walk to the near restaurants, shopping and bars.Rooms maybe a bit on the small side and could do some refurbishment.
Staff was friendly and helpful as they needed to be. Free Wi-Fi was ok to use. Breakfast was basic with bread, eggs and sausage.

Herein is list of poor service and accommodation at Hotel Rae from march 23-24, 2013-dirty carpets, no water in room as amenities promised, electrical problems -no tv, shower nozzle taped-poor, front desk asleep during day AT FRONT DESK,poor service, aircon stopped 2am, hookers slamming doors all nite, definitely not worth $70usd nite- wouldn't pay $5 a nite. hotel has really dropped in quality. booK elsewhere.

i stay there only one night. The room is quite clean. not much people there. the cost is quite cheap rather than the hotel in front of it. If you didn't satisfied, there are some hotel and Guesthouse nearby. You can go to bus station by walk about 15 min maybe. you can fing some indian food and chinese food nearby. there is a minimarket too. But, the channel TV only 11 channels, didn't know what to watch, WIFI not good. For me, Overall this Hotel is not bad.

Went into this hotel as a walk in and got a tour of two rooms. Looked pretty decent for 170 the front desk man was very friendly and nice. Thought this was a good choice until later on in the day. We had a few bugs when we first got in the room which we killed, not thinking anything of it . A few hours later went to make a coffee and more bugs were around the machine , cockroach looking things. Pretty annoying after thinking this place was pretty good. Told the desk and a housekeeper came up to spray the room.. The spray didn't do anything except make it hard to breathe. After this we expected to hopefully not see anymore bugs. Just wanted a peaceful Christmas eve. A bug then creeped out from under the bed and as I freaked out, saw a different kind of bug crawl into the desk drawer, jumpy little thing. Went to the desk to switch rooms if anything. And the housekeeper came up and was trying to convince us to just switch rooms and not leave. As she was in the room there were multiple bugs next to the phone, which we showed to her and made a call to the front desk. By this time I was just fed up and wanted to get out. She left and we were packing up. Went down and tried to just check out only staying half the day. couldn't deal with anything else on Christmas eve. Understandably they tried just switching our room but at this point we just wanted out, as we were going to only move the next day instead of staying two nights, we didn't want to move and find a place Christmas day . Trying to explain this the new man on the front desk smirked and talked to the housekeeper , us not being able to understand, calling the manager and still saying he couldn't give our money back even though we were only a walk in so no other company was making any commission In the end , we had to talk on the phone with someone, and us knowing we could get our money back, as we also work in hospitality argued our point. In the end after much hassle , frustration and being smirked at the entire time ,as well the man was very rude, we did get our money back and went to find another hotel . Not such a great christmas eve .

So myself and my girlfriend just arrived back at 3am to find our luggage had been rooted through. In total they stole almost 200 dollars from seperate wallets etc.. Left open but cleverly placed back. When reporting it less than an hour ago they *Refused us the cctv footage* and laughed between themselves in Malay. Note that i am not the only person to have stated this on reviews. So unhappy. Last night in KL. 3am and now to the police station. It almost seems routine the way they just dealt with us. 100 percent they stole our money.
