“Great way to see KL in 1 day”
Reviewed March 22, 2013

On our 4 night visit to KL for the F1 we had 1 spare day to see KL! Got the bus from the last stop (Petronas Towers) and for MYR38 each (about £9) you get to go to 23 different stops ( we got off at the KL Tower, China Town, the Royal Palace and the Petronas Towers). Great cheap way to see KL in 1 day! Only downsides - the busses - inconsistent! 1 was a really nice open top bus with clear commentary, one was no open top and not many of the audio devices working with commentary. However, getting around KL can be expensive and this is a really good way to do it! Buses arrive every 30mins at each stop! PS - am amazed at some of the negative comments on here about this - its a great idea and on the whole a good experience!! All buses also have air conditioning which is a God send in the humidity!

“Get yourself a good map instead”
Reviewed March 21, 2013

Having been to KL numerous times, but never really done any of the tours, I thought this would be a good way to get a overall feel of the attractions. However a good map and some planning gets you further.

The trouble with the tour route is that it double backs on itself in numerous spots so you dont get very far thus it takes longer to get anywhere. The frequency of buses varies due to the traffic and generally you will have long wait times.

If you hop off and visit an attraction it is not a problem as you generally spend a reasonable amount of time there before getting the next bus. However if you don't plan it well you could wait a long time for the next bus to arrive.

The buses vary in quality and type, so you don't always know what it will be like when the next bus arrives. Some are the double decker type with open tops or the standard tour bus type.

Most buses need some form of maintenance, from seats to air conditioning.

The onboard commentry can vary depending on who the tour guide is. Some are great with a good knowledge of the attractions. One problem you may have, is some of the guides accent is very strong can be very difficult to understand.

The commentry needs to be updated as it still references places to go such as Planet Hollywood which has been closed for a number years now.

“Not worth the price”
Reviewed March 20, 2013

This is the wrong way to see KL.

The buses are old school with out of sync commentary and poor AC.

You will spend most of your time in a traffic jam or waiting for your bus to arrive at your stop.

My advice would be to get a good map and a bus guide and take in the city yourself. It's small enough that you can't really get that lost and if you do, the locals are friendly enough to help you find your way!

“Old hot buses, traffic hell”
Reviewed March 18, 2013

The route is a good one, but the 2.5 hours they estimate easily took 4. Traffic is always bad and the A/C on the old busses is not enough. By the time we were two hours into it, we were dying of thirst. No beverages are available on board. The best part was hopping off!

“Good way to see KL in a limited time”
Reviewed March 16, 2013

We only had one day in KL and decided this was the best way to get an overview of the city.
We got on at a stop near our hotel and did the round trip. The bus was clean and comfortable and the commentary in English was good. There were a few extended photo stops but this did not worry us. A good way to spend 3 hours seeing the sights!
