There is no doubt that this is a quality restaurant. Really flavoursome Malay food, well presented and at a very reasonable price. Our fish was perfectly cooked. The grilled aubergine was spicy and tasty. And the chicken hot and tender. Very good service and a pleasant atmosphere. If you want good quality Malay food and a little bit of luxury then this is the place to go. Well located in Bukit Bintang in the food basement of Starhill.

What a great restaurant. A bit hard to find because there are so many on the LG floor of Starhill Gallery. The atmosphere was great, with attentive waiters to guide you through the menu. Lots of choices. Had a tasting plate to start and fried crisps which were complimentary. The food was delicious and served in no time at all. Had a great dinner. ..

This is another restaurant at Star-hill, The food quality is questionable. Be prepared for spicy indonesian dishes and make sure you have plenty of water. The food does not come accordingly but I good remark is the hospitality of the staff make it worthwhile.

We decided to eat at Enak on the final evening of our holiday, after reading reviews for a number of Malay restaurants. We were looking for great food and good wine. The menu is exciting with some very traditional dishes and others that were innovative: we opted for a distinctively Malay-style fresh asparagus starter, six medium sized mostly peeled prawns in a spicy tamarind sauce, a beef rendang (less traditional in that it was not dry) and a delicately-spiced curry ayam, with side orders of a bitter-sweet chutney and a very hot sambal. The chef prepares each dish with individual sauces and condiments so all of the flavours were very different. The asparagus, the prawns and the bitter-sweet chutney were our favourite dishes but all were excellent. The wine list is reasonable but a large number of moderately-priced wines we asked about were unavailable due to change in suppliers (the restaurant should get rid of their wine list and provide an interim list of only what is available). This lack of choice initially concerned us but the head waiter assisted us and we happily reached a solution, enjoying a wonderful 2007 chianti classico riserva. The staff were very attentive. Although the restaurant is located in a shopping gallery, an up-side was the jazz playing in the lobby which we listened to after dinner. We would highly recommend Enak: the best Malay food we tasted during a three week trip.

Menus has some interesting dishes but they fall down on quality and authenticity.

Service is also a bit lay back and location on ground floor of Starhill Gallery and stuck in a far corner near and exit/entry is uninviting

Did provide a fantastic Chilli Oil as table condiment - best dish
