i am a local in KL city, i just want to say most of the local in KL city doesn't know how to explore and seek for new experience. If you have patient of time you should found what you need in Chinatown here. You sad the food is overrated? that's mean you never found the cheaper one. Explore using your eyes duh.

Don't waste your time. Very hot, most stalls closed and smelly. We were looking for the one star michelin restaurant but it was closed? When we left here we found it had moved across the road. Ordered chicken curry. Very ordinary and full of bones!

So many great and inexpensive options. Gets crowded later but still great experience. Whether on the street or the sit down spots behind, lots of tasty food choices. Try them all!

I enjoyed eating at the Hawker Stalls in Chinatown. Plenty of choice, modest prices, colour and culture. Highly recommended.
