We have been to many culture shows around the world and Saloma does not standout. The buffet is average and the show is below average. The reason for the rating has to do with the following issues: the announcer speaks english, but very fast and hard to understand. The cultural dance portion only lasted 30 min. and seemed very mechanical. This was followed by a 30 min. audience participation section that was pretty lame. We have been to these things in other places and they can be a lot of fun, but this one wasn't. The show had no OOMPH until the last number (after the audiance participation) which was "Malaysia is Asia" and finally something that felt good and upbeat. If the other parts of the show had matched this segment in joy and presentation, then I would have a different thought on Saloma. Sadly, it was not to be. If you have not been to other culture shows, Saloma is passable, otherwise take a pass.

I came here with my family last August.

The food variety is very poor. Also, they are not tasty at all. The mix vegetable that was served on that night was already out of date. I have to mention it to one of the staff and later the staff came and confirmed it with me. The dish was replaced with wedges.

My husband didnt like the staff. They are not friendly.

However, we enjoyed the show. It shows a nice way to show Malaysian culture. The price of MYR85 is a bit pricey for a poor selection of food. I hope the management will take note and take the necessary step.

The show was an overview of Malaysian Culture interpreted through various dances. The idea is very good of the many cultures of Malaysia living in harmony. The food was toned down for international crowds, so it was a bit bland. I thought it was really well, but a lot of the same movements over and over again with costume and music changes to change the mood. Could be a little bit more educational, but probably for the wide variety of tourists could be right. Definitely put your tourist mentality on and enjoy the show. Probably good for people who don't have the stomach to really get into the good local restaraunts that abound all over KL.
