I had Nasi lemak and black jelly drink.
It was good i was full. It came out to around $8 US. Tasted like a Chinese meal with hot sauce. Service was average, not crowded but the food court food republic had lots of places to eat with lots of people eating and looking for places to eat. Much larger than Lot 10 hutong food court. I spent 4 nights in Penang eating lots food hawker food at new world, Red Garden and Kuah food market in Langkawi.

We were staying close by at Traders Hotel and ducked into Madam Kwan's for a quick eat one night.
We were seated immediately and a waiter swiftly took our order. We had the fried dumplings, beef rending and combination omelette. The first two dishes were quite tasty, especially the dumplings (crisp, hot and flavoursome),however, the omelette was rubbery and tasteless.
There were a couple of Muslim girls next to us who both sent their dishes back, I think because they were cold.
The restaurant is pretty noisy and has zero atmosphere. Overall OK but certainly wouldn't go back and wouldn't recommend it.

For the locals, we don't really come here to taste the best local cuisine. Since is quite pricy the food they serve here compare to other restaurants. You can actually get the same food at our local street market at a very much cheaper price,

But if you only have a short visit in Malaysia, this is the best restaurant where you should go to taste of our Malaysian foods.

The food is actually GREAT! the only problem for the local is the price which is consider quite expensive. .... but taking into consideration where you are at a 5 star shopping mall, i guess the price is not really very expensive, afterall.. :D To the tourist, the price is definitely very cheap and reasonable.

The food was excellent with large portions and good value. Definitely worth trying but very busy with queues waiting all day long.

I have been to this place for many times, especially KLCC and Pavilion branch but i don't see any improvement after so many years. KLCC branch services is quite poor, the waiters there are quite arrogant. Pavilion branch service is quite okay, maybe because Madam Kwan(the boss) on and off will be there to help out. Food is average and a bit over priced because we can get same and better food from hawker stall with only RM5 instead of RM15 for a meal.

Recommended food: Char Kuey Teow and ABC - Ais Batu Campur (Dessert)

Price approximately RM15 to RM20 per person (Main Course + Drink + Tax)
