Great little buffet for Sunday lunch after going to church. Good home-style country cooking. The chicken n' dumplings are one of my favorites. The cobblers are also wonderful. So to sum it up, there's something for everyone in the family, from the fried chicken to the meatloaf to the cookies and ice cream, it's sure to please. But take cash, they don't accept credit or debit cards.

The food was horrible. We were told it was very good so we looked forward to the experience. Have never been so disappointed. Will never go back.

Jay's is only open from 4:30pm to 9:30pm, Thursday through Saturday, but it's worth the wait. An older restaurant, but clean, good service, you can get your food fried or broiled and even the baby shrimp can come sauteed in butter.Their flounder is the thickest in the area and is not overwhelmed by the breading. Great prices and the seafood platter is big enough for two.

My family & I ordered take-out on Sat. March 31. My wife picked up the food. She said the staff was very friendly & accommodating. One family member has a food allery & the kitchen staff prepared the fried fish without using milk or eggs. Many restaurants are much less accommodating. The fried shrimp, scallops & oysters were very good! The fried flounder & catfish were good. I would given the fried fish a higher ranking, but I prefer a flour/cracker meal batter over a corn meal batter. The deviled crab was over cooked. The cocktail sauce was very good. The tartar sauce needed more flavor. The mayo taste was over powering. The sauces are always important to me. Our experience was pleasant & I would recommend the restaurant to others.
