Beautiful flower display on the steps leading to this quiet oasis, poignant sculptures around the park as well. Put it on your to do list

I didn't care to go for atomic bomb history or the museum as I find it difficult to stomach. The hypocenter amd the peace park however have a different feel. Even though the history and the tragedy are very much present, the beautiful sculptures and the beauty of the park and fountain feel hopeful. Don't miss it!

This area covers the spot where the atomic bomb was dropped in 1945 during WW11. It is almost in the middle of the City and a must to visit whilst in Nagasaki.

This is a must see if you are in Japan. We visited Nagasaki on a cruise and it was my favourite place that the ship stopped. It was beautiful, the parks very clean and the peace park was lovely to see. The museum was very interesting to see a different perspective of history. The staff were very friendly on reception. Great trip. #honestMary

Whatever your feelings on the subject, this is a must see site. You could probably read the history somewhere else, but to see it here is very moving. Gotta do it!
