Owner description: The magnificent Nagasaki Peace Statue is one of many dramatic statues and sculptures at this park reminding visitors of the nuclear catastrophe and the need for world peace.

a little way away from the actual site of the bomb impact, there are several statues commemorating the events of 1945. several of a mother with a child were more thought provoking than the main statue of peace.

The Museum was a very sombre place with all the exhibits with such detail. Could have spent a full 1/2 day in here. To me a place that looks interesting from afar takes on a different meaning when you are there. Ground Zero again very sombre but the place I liked was the Peace park again a place with lots to see. In all a very interesting visit.

What can I write that makes sense of the a-bomb. This peace park is a must see for all people. Highly recommend!

It's a lovely park, with obvious historic significance. Ground Zero with a number of well- described exhibits that take one back to 1945, the moment the bomb hit (the actual stopped clock). The serenity and beauty of the park and the graciousness of the presentations are a monument not to the horror of war, but to rebuilding, reconciliation, self reflection and the value of peace.

This park is a strong statement for peace and against war. The placards provide intersting information about the nuclear bombing of Nagasaki.
