“Very much worth a visit.”
Reviewed January 26, 2013

A well designed museum with plenty to see and experience. everything is available in English and the scope of the place, while not large, is very detailed. Apparently it can be full of school children at times, so plan your visit carefully. The 'hypocenter' monument is neaby and also worth visiting.

“very moving”
Reviewed January 17, 2013

We happen to be stationed in Japan, so a trip to Nagasaki was a very easy drive for us. The Museum was easy to find, lots of signs in English. My husband and I went alone, to see it before bringing our 10 year old daughter. I am glad we did.
The pictures displayed are a disturbing truth as to what happend. It's amazing to see the damage that was caused, in the town, it was caused in. Everything had English, so we could easily understand what the pictures said.

“good knowledge learnt”
Reviewed January 4, 2013

Visiting the Nagasaki atomic bomb museum has provided me with a lot of new knowledge. It has further allowed me to understand the devastating nature of the atomic bomb.

Give yourself about 3 hours if you want to read and understand everything. Most of the artifacts has English translation but it seems to be much briefer as compared to the Japanese explanation.

You can visit the peace park after visiting the museum as they are located close to each other within walking distance.

It's a great museum, must visit when you are in Nagasaki. It's horrifying but seeing what happened just made me feel lucky that I didn't have to go through all that

A visit to this museum is very moving, especially the videos of the survivors. The presentation is complete and effective.
