Maybe the best place to be in Nagasaki, a must see attraction besides the Atom Bomb Hypocentre, The Atom Bomb Memorial Park and the Museum. In Glover Garden the view over the harbour and the city of Nagasaki is impressive. There are imposing colonial buildings all over the Glover Garden, besides the Glover House! which was under renovation at the time of our visit.

it is a huge complex and you can spend few hours there is you are interested in history. there are several houses and buildings to explore and get the feel of life back in those days. it has a very beautiful view of the port and see from the houses. the road leading to the house are lined with shops selling all kind of souvenirs and food.

Amazing house and garden on the slopes overlooking Nagasaki harbour. Use the Skyway lift to start your visit at the top of the hill, and gradually work your way down. There is a very interesting coffee shop located about half way down the garden.

A wonderful place, not just the views and architecture, but also the gardens. Real gardens with flowers that smell. Not like the "plastic" fake feeling Japanese gardens. Also the love story of a non-Japanese with a Japanese and the business itself of trade with Japan. All that overlooking the port. Great.

Well worth the visit. We spent hours here walking around the lovely gardens, interesting buildings, having coffee and ice cream and sitting admiring the view. We left from the other side of the gardens and took the lift down and wondered around the ditch slope on our way back to our hotel.
