Very good location, within 3mins walk from the station & few steps to the glico. Room is nice & stylish.. love the bathroom, it has designed in a way where there's this soap down and wash off area, and a soaking tub.. Japanese bath style!
Down side - We booked for a Non-smoking room but was given a room with a very strong smoking smell, asked the houskeeping and got to know that our floor is actually at the smoking floor. I called the front desk and he said it is a smoking floor but our room in particular is a non smoking room, and asked me to spray the purifier for getting rid of the smell! NO WAY, this doesn't make sense at all... i asked to change to a non-smoking floor he then told me no room was available!! i was pissed.. i felt cheated, because i specifically booked for a non-smoking room and the smell is just too strong. No apology given for the whole incident, & the manager (female who speaks decent english) is rude too.

The hotel is basically in the middle of Dotombori (huge shopping area and attraction site) and is nicely decorated. The hotel room was larger than I expected with a huge bed and the bathroom was especially impressive with a deep tub almost like an onsen. The train station is 2-3 minutes walk away from the hotel too. Highly recommended!

The Cross Hotel is a wonderful Hotel right in the hub of Osaka's Dotonbori district. It's literally a few steps away from the famous 'running man (Glico)' neon sign. There are wonderful shops and restaurants nearby. It's very close to major train and subway stations. I stayed at this hotel and visited Universal Studios, the Osaka aquarium and other attractions by using the train/subway system. The staff is friendly and the rooms are relatively spacious. The rooms and bathrooms are immaculately clean! I like the high tech toilets!!
