Very enjoyable stay of 3 nights. Ideally located right by Dontonbori and its many restaurants and bars. Great staff that are very helpful and friendly.

Stayed for 1 night at this very modern hotel. The lobby and public areas were well designed and fitted with dimmed lights. The rooms were spacious and the beds were comfortable. The bathroom was really nice and big, fitted with a bath tub and another separate Japanese bath area. They provided Shiseido toiletries in the bathroom!
The hotel was located nearby the Dotonbori area and we could walk along a really long street with various shops. There was also a river nearby with walkway and shops along the river. We had delicious Shabu shabu in one of the restaurants nearby and it was amazing because instead of the usual flavoured soup, the restaurant used mineral water in the wok for us to cook our food.
The buffet breakfast the next day was a mixture of Japanese & continental spread which was really delicious!

Only grouse was: there was no Wifi in the room. We tried to access the Wifi at the lobby but failed.... However, there was a LAN cable with free internet in the room for guests with laptops....

We stayed at the hotel for four night’s total in April. We spent two nights at the hotel, and then went to an onsen town Shirahama for two nights, and then came back to the hotel for another 2 nights. It was our first time in Osaka and we were pleased with what the hotel provided us. First, we took the Nankai train from the airport to Namba station. From there it was a 10 minute walk to the hotel.

In terms of difficulty finding the hotel, on a scale from 1 (easy) to 10 (hard), I would give our experience a 4. First, coming out of the train station carrying a large piece of luggage, I was pretty tired afterwards. In terms of finding the hotel, we printed off a map beforehand, and that gave us a good sense of where we were headed. Just remember, you must cross a bridge over the Dotonbori River and the hotel is on the other side of the river.

Hotel: For us, we were happy with the nice lobby and the helpful staff. Every person that we dealt with spoke English to some degree so asking about directions and luggage was no big deal.

The room was what we expected. Traveling in Japan, we were used to the super small rooms, but the room was a good size and suitable for traveling couples. All the usually amenities were available, and there was even a humidifier to combat the dry weather. The bed was a good size and comfortable, and the bathroom was clean, with your typical Japanese toilet (which was great).

One thing was we brought the wrong type of adapter for our camera and phone chargers, so the staff provided us with the right one. They allowed us to borrow the charger for the duration of our stay. Also, as we were headed to another city in the middle of our stay with the hotel, they helped us to store our luggage while we traveled away from the hotel. That was really helpful since we were on the trains a lot and it was great to not have to carry a large piece of luggage.

Gripes:
Two things: the hotel has Wi-Fi in the lobby but not in their rooms, but that was just a minor inconvenience. The second thing was we were given a smoking room even though we booked a non-smoking room. Luckily the smoky smell wasn’t too bad, especially if you just turn on the fan.

Overall:
The room size was good for two people, and the staff were accommodating with our requests. Osaka is a crowded city, walking in and around the hotel area; I never felt “boxed” in. The rooms suited our travel needs just fine, but what made the experience better was the location of the hotel. Depending on how you look at it, the red light district area may be a bit seedy, but we never felt that we were in any kind of danger. For us, it was great to be in the center of great food (ramen shops, curry rice dishes, takoyaki), shopping, and efficient transport. In the future, we would definitely look to stay in a hotel in this area, but we may opt to stay in a different hotel just to try a different experience.

Great location near Dotonburi street where you can enjoy the best street food in Japan. Our room was small but nicely designed; I loved the Japanese style bathroom. Check out the Japanese breakfast in the hotel!

This hotel is seriously around the block from the famous Dotonbori. You walk out, go left and then BAM....you walk right into it. It is a bit of a walk to the Subway, which is not a problem for us since we walk a lot on vacation. Plus with the way we were eating, we were happy for that walk on the way back to our hotel. There are so many shops (ranging from the cheap souvenir shops to the very expensive – think Chanel, LV, Hermes, etc). Ditto for the food, there are just so many options that you could explore this area for days and not get bored. Huge shopping arcades (Daimaru) on the way to the Subway.

This hotel has a very modern feel to it. You walk into the lobby and there is a sweets shop, music shop, and then the cafe. The staff speaks English so that was a plus. We ate at the restaurant for breakfast and it was surprisingly good. The decor of the cafe is really adorable. At the front desk they have maps for Kobe in addition to a local area map. The staff was also willing to help us get our bags delivered to Tokyo at the end of our stay in Osaka since we were thinking of not taking our bags on the train. We were traveling during Golden Week and did not want to negotiate our bags thru busy stations.

We also had some massages (which our masseuse did not speak English, but it still worked out great). The spa is very clean and on the 5th floor.

Our room was VERY clean however it smelled of smoke (even tho it said it was a non smoking room). The bathroom was very nice and clean as well as huge. The bathtub is truly a soaking tub. I used it every night. In the lobby they sell bath bombs so you can really enjoy the bath. The room is actually a bit spacious for Japan. (We got the double room). I’m still giving it the max stars because of the space and location.

Very nice hotel with nice rooms. Best bathroom we had in our trip in Japan - would have loved to take it home with us!! Hotel was very central for lots of shopping and wandering around Osaka. Staff were very attentive to any need. Would stay here again.
