I stayed here with my partner in August for 1 night. We prebooked two single rooms through hostelbookers costing JPY1600 each. It was a very basic hostel and good for those passing through Osaka in a day or two. It is centrally located (two stops down the Midosuji line from Namba) and next to the Shitennoji Temple and zoo. The reception staff were very helpful and there were lots of brochures for travellers in the foyer. The rooms were clean but very basic (a tatami mat on the floor and a fan) as were the shared shower facilities and kitchen. They also had shared computers and a vending machine for alcohol in the foyer. Nothing special, but perfectly acceptable.

Needed a place to sleep over for a few hours on my return from Tokyo and to catch a flight to Singapore - not only was it dirt cheap, but clean and spacious. It was just strange making use of the same toilets and showers as the opposite sex.

What was convenient was its close proximaty to the station, a few minutes walk from the Midosuji Subway Dobutsuen Mae station.

As to the comfortableness, that did not bother me as it was more to get a shower, and take a catnap than anything else.

Room Tip: if one is on a low budget, a worthwhile place to use. Not much else I can say having arrived late an...

This hotel was very cheap! It's located maybe 1 minute walk away from a subway station that can get you pretty much everywhere in Osaka.

I stayed in a twin room on the first floor. The room was 4.5 tatami, the futons were a bit thin and uncomfortable. There was air conditioning and a large refrigerator in the room. There was also a basin but the tap was broken so we couldn't use it. The room smelled a little bit.

There are toilets and showers on the first floor, while I was there the toilets were kept very clean. The hotel is very close to spaworld so make sure you visit!

It is 1600 a night for a single room, which is a good price. The place is clean, the showers are hot. I enjoyed my stay and would come back.
You can rent a bike and get around very well. there are also restaurants in walking distance.
In that area are actually quite a few hotels with similiar prices, but this one is probably the best for western people who don't speak Japanese...

Very basic rooms. Traditional Japanese style with just a thin mattress on the ground and a sheet. Damp smell in the room.
Communal area with fridge was useful.
Showers were hot.
Great location, close to several stations and Spa World(which is amazing!). Lots of kushi katsu restaurants within walking distance.

For rates starting at 1500 a night, you get what you pay for and nothing more. I stayed here for one night and it was an overall comfortable experience. I stayed in a small tatami single room with air-con and a TV. My friend stayed in a room without AC and that room was very musty and smelt disgusting (so i would recommend getting an AC room). There are only 3 showers which can cause a wait, esp on weekends when the hotel is fully booked. The location is in what is considered a "seedy" part of town but very close to the JR station (and still generally pretty safe). It's great for budget travelers on a short stay, but that's it.

Room Tip: There are no elevators so it may be useful to ask for a room closer to the ground if traveling with...

It is located close to may other hostels 3min away from a subway station 5 min away from another one but in what is considered a "dangerous" area, very close to Shinsekai and the zoo.
The place looks clean and the room is comfy. In the twin room you get a T.V. Sink and Air Conditioner which I think is pretty cool for a hostel. In the common room you get to meet really cool people, they even have Nintendo 64 there. For the price it is overall a good deal.

Room Tip: Twin room have AC and are on the ground floor.
