We stayed here for about 4 nights last Dec and found the hotel to be a wonderful place especially if you are planning to go the Universal Studio Japan, Hard Rock Cafe Osaka and even the Osaka Aquarium. We booked a family suite and it's really huge, there were 5 of us (2 adults & 3 kids aged 11,9 & 3) and 4 beds. The biggest hotel room you'd probably can find by Japanese standard, nice beds as well. Price wise, my sister got a good deal from booking.com so that's really great.
The hotel lobby itself is a place for photo taking, even selfies :)
It's not that hard to get to the hotel from CBD even for non- japanese speaking people like us and it is literally just across the train stop, a short walking distance from Universal Walk.
I would stay here again.

This hotel was the most pleasant surprise. We had chosen it from reviews on Tripadviser and were not disappointed. By far, the room we stayed in was the largest in our entire Japan trip (and the cheapest!) and accomodated us (3 adults) extremely well. The room was large and modern with a big picture window facing the water and free Wifi was a bonus. Having a separate shower and toilet was useful and it felt more like a little apartment than a hotel room! We had breakfast included in our room rate and it honestly was the most variety I have ever seen in all my travels. Two enormous circular banquet tables provided a large range of food items and many drink options. Located only a 2 minute walk from Universal Port station, the hotel was modern and comfortable with extremely helpful staff and well located for a trip to Universal Studios. Whilst we didn't visit the theme park during our stay, we did utilise the great restaurant strip located across the road and (buying tickets at the hotel desk) used the marina behind to catch a ferry to Osaka Aquarium. Getting into Osaka is only a short train trip and trains came every 10 minutes. I would definitely stay here again!

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the water on the highest level possible - great views of the ships coming and...

Myself and 2 friends stayed here in April last year and were very impressed with the size and quality of the rooms and views of the city from the window. We didn't visit Universal Studios but the train station is a 2 minute walk and only takes 10mins to get to the centre of town. Rooms were large, staff were friendly and would highly recommend this hotel as your Osaka base.

The hotel is well located. It just a few minutes walk to the train station and USJ. The hotel staff is friendly and very helpful. We purchased our USJ tickets at the lobby it's so convenient. We requested for a high floor room facing the theme park and had a great stayed there.

Spent 4 nights at the Universal Port in a family room overlooking the harbour. Great first impression with a nice open lobby and not overdone Universal theme. The hotel is directly across the road from the train station and the theme park making access to both very easy and also providing a wide variety of restaurants. The buffet in the hotel itself was fairly expensive, especially for breakfast, however did provide a very large variety of good western and Japanese options. All the staff we encountered were very friendly and polite, which seemed to be a recurring theme around Japan. The room itself was excellent. Very spacious even with a family of four we had plenty of room. Robes provided etc and a large bathroom. You are required to change trains a couple of times to the hotel if you are coming from Shin Osaka as we did, which can be a pain with suitcases, however that would be the only thing I could fault. Would stay again without hesitation.

Really enjoyed our stay here. Spacious modern and well cleaned rooms and helpful staff. Great views of the universal studios.
Having it's own train station made it fairly easy to travel to and from without the craziness of city crowds although be prepared for numerous transfers. It does get busy as universal studio crowds come and go but we were usually headed the other way so pretty good. Only thing is it's distance from Kansai airport makes it an expensive ($200) taxi ride which is not ideal if you have a late arrival and trains have stopped as we had to.
The shops across the road are cool although more expensive than elsewhere.
Having your own desk to prebook universal studios tickets saves a lot of time.
The buffet breakfast although good was expensive so we opted to get food across the road at lawsons instead. Laundry service also expensive.
Few issues with things breaking in the room but that was just unlucky and they were fixed immediately.

Great hotel, professional, courteous, multi-lingual staff! Ideally situated for access to Universal studios, but the rest of Osaka is right at your door step with the train station right across the street. No onsen here, but the deep bath tub is more than adequate for a good soak after a full day of traipsing around. Room is adequately appointed with great views of the harbor.
