This hotel live up to all the excellent reviews given. It really makes us feel like a home away from home. The best place to stay if you are going to visit Universal Studio theme park.

The hotel is situated near Universal City train station and opposite USJ park. Coming out from the train station, the hotel might not be visible if you exit toward Universal City Walk. However, it is only a short walk across the road. Upon exiting the subway, turn left along Starbucks cafe and head toward a cross junction, the hotel reveals it majestic view.

Friendly reception staff and check-in was a breeze. The lobby is full of props that give opportunities for photo-taking. There is also a small convenient store to buy daily necessities. Upon checking the cafe menu, price for their breakfast is also quite reasonable. The ambience in the ground floor already kicks in the mood for a good stay.

We stayed for 4 nights in Jan 2013, winter time. Though it is a non-peak season, the hotel still have quite a numbers of guests. We requested for a high floor non-smoking room and the hotel acceded to our request. We got a 10th floor double-bed room overlooking USJ. We were amazed at the room size because it was really spacious for just a standard double room. The room has a separate bath area, toilet and basin area. The loo surprised us because it is automatic. Every toiletries was thought for and thus I don't even have to use our own. The bed area was wide that a sofa and coffee table can be included in. Bed was comfy and the pillows they gave were a little different from normal pillows. Eventhough we are facing the theme park, the room was really sound-proof from the noise. Wifi available in the room and was fast. Safe box available as well. Housekeeping was meticulous and everyday, we came back to a very clean room.

I really wish I have more reasons to come back to this hotel because we really enjoyed our stay in Universal Port Hotel. The room is unlike any Japan hotel rooms that I stayed before (spacious, sophisticated, modern, interesting etc..) and definitely the best among all the USJ official hotel. This hotel has officially become the best hotel among all my travel stays in Japan. Worth every cent we paid for. Alright, enough of my raves.
