Hotel Mystays Dojima

Excellent boutique hotel with lovely amenities and additions such as free bottled water, pump packs of good quality shampoo, conditioner and body soaps - cotton swab packs (earbuds), disposable toothbrushes, razors, complimentary disposable slippers and free wifi and wired internet for laptops. The hotel however is difficult to find. I caught a taxi from Shin-Osaka station which is there the shinkansen stopped - be aware that although the hotel is a short walk from Osaka station, this is different than Shin-Osaka. I asked my taxi driver to take me to Hotel Premio Dojima - but I was dropped at a different hotel - be certain to ask for Hotel Vista Premio (in Dojima district) otherwise your taxi driver will take you to another hotel about 5 mins walk away. Be sure to carry a map (chizu) with you as the hotel is very hard to find if returning the first few times back at the hotel. I would definitely recommend this hotel for non-families. There is a Family Mart convenience store downstairs which is reasonably priced. The only negative I found was there was no microwave cooking / reheating food facilities at the hotel, however the friendly staff at reception reheated my take away meal for me without question!

Rooms were tiny but considerably larger than the room we stayed in Tokyo. They had great amenities, only down fall location a little hidden. Taxi driver didn't know where the hotel was.

very little english spoken by the front desk so conversing with them was difficult.

A good hotel when compared with typical Japanese business hotels. Rooms are around the same small size usually found but interior fittings of room are nice and bed comfortable. Nice big desk to work on. Very clean. Staff are very friendly. A little bit difficult to find and make sure you carry a copy of the address in Japanese as taxi drivers seem not to know it. Some nice little restaurants around the hotel. One great izakaya nearby sorry I do not recall the name but it has English menus and specializes in chicken dishes. Overall a good place for business if location is convenient for your meetings.

We recently stayed in Osaka for a night. I found a great deal on Agoda.com for Hotel Vista Premio Dojima. The hotel is a 10 minute walk from the JR Osaka train station and it was relatively easy to find using our phone’s GPS and with pulling directions off the Internet beforehand. Also, the hotel is also situated close to the JR Tozai Line, which we utilized for our sightseeing trips around Osaka.
Many Westerners would find the room small, but we found the room to be bigger than other hotels in the area. Also, it was clean and adequate for our needs. The bed was comfortable after a grueling day of sightseeing and I enjoyed the little amenities the hotel offers in the room (i.e. hair dryer, shampoo and conditioner, loofah towels, my favorite...the Yukata Bath Robes, etc).
Despite our limited Japanese, the front desk was extremely welcoming and answered all our questions about what to do in Osaka. I want to make a point that the front desk went out of their way in helping us plan a wonderful evening in Kobe and making reservations for our bus tickets home.
This is our second stay with the Hotel Vista’s in Osaka and we hope to return in a few weeks. We definitely recommend any Hotel Vistas in Osaka.

We stayed here for 2 nights in early April 2013. Hotel is great, room is clean and hotel staff is helpful and speak english. The only problem we faced initially is finding the hotel from JR Osaka Station as the station is huge and streets' name are not visible. Once you are familiar, it's easy, just need to look out for Nishi-umeda station or Yotsubashi line or Tozai line and kept walking towards it via underground. Another location to look out for will be Dojima underground centre. All these location will help in finding C69 exit. The name of hotel is stated on the signage at exit C69 so it's really useful. There's a staircase of around 40 flight of steps with a intermediate landing in between the steps, no escalator. Once you are up on ground level from this exit, make a u-turn from the left and walk towards the first lane. Turn right and you will see a few restaurants on both side of the lane and on the right you will find the hotel within 1-2 minutes after you exited from the underground. There's another entrance to the hotel which can be reached from the same exit if you walk straight, rather than u-turn. At the very first lane, make a left turn. The walk is longer, within 5 minutes. The hotel will be on your left.

We stayed in Osaka for two nights! We love the city. The hotel is beautiful and new with two really cool bars on the first floor. BUT, the rooms are tiny and hot! The air con is placed in a weird position- its placed in the hallway and not near the bed. They have to fix that.

The bathroom is so small that you can't even dry yourself. The shower is strong, but you can't be very tall. Then its hard work to have a shower.

We have to say that the staff is very helpful and friendly.

And no free WIFI in the rooms. Thats really bad in this day and age…especially in modern Japan.
Have a look at other hotels before you decide to stay here.
