Spent nearly an.hour walking round here. Very quiet and peaceful. Beautiful bridge and plenty ducks, turtles and fish.ti see in water below. Good to see some brand new buildings amongst the older ones. Great place to take some excellent photos. Very picturesque.

If you combine this with the tramway to get there then the whole experience is very good. We had the bonus of a traditional wedding at the shrine and the cherry blossoms which made it very good for us but taken in isolation may be rated average.

It is kinda hard to go here because, it is on a local train, especially if you came from the city, the Rainbow bridge, I think was called Rainbow bridge, because of the reflecting shadow of the bridge or because it was a curved shaped bridge, the bridge, has stairs to climb on, because without, the stairs, the person who is going down will easily fall, from Sumiyoshi Taisha Station, exit at the East Exit, if you go to the West, you will find the Sumiyoshi park in front of you with lots of flowers, and many Sakuras! So when you get out of the East, just walk straight and you will reach the doorstep of the shrine, but take notice of the tram's way (the mini train), before climbing the Rainbow Bridge, you will smell something delicious! Well, you might wanna try it because it is in fact, delicious! It came from Awajidou! As I can remember, it only costed 12 pieces for ¥300!

The shrine is rightly famous and very nice. If you are interested in Japanese shrines, I suggest you put this one high on your list of things to see when you are in Osaka.

So there was a rave over this temple because it is an important shrine in Osaka for the past history. However, when I was there, there was nothing interesting. We spent probably 20mins or less and left the place. The only plus point is that there is no crowd at all, we were probably the only tourists there besides a tour group. This is perhaps an important shrine to the locals, but NOT to the tourists. Kyoto Kiyomizudera temple was way better and interesting.
