You can see the building in the distance and know there is an underground tunnel from the Grand Osaka location to the Sky Building, but if you're looking the other way you might miss it. So if you're coming from the Intercontinental...when you come to the end of that building on the first floor (heading towards Osaka station)...look to your left outside of the building and across the street...pay attention to where everyone is walking and you will see them disappear on the other side of the street! Once you get to the building, its an easy ride to the 39 and then 40th floor for a great view on a clear day. If you're a single person with a love one you'll like it even more as you can confirm your love with a locket!! It was worth it, the kids liked running around on the 39th floor, but were a bit hesitant on the 40th - open air, but it was fine and safe. On the way back down be sure to take the escalator from the main building to the 2nd building for additional fun.

it is not close to osaka JR, about 20 min walk. you can go underground for a long way, but we lost in underground with shops, so best for visitors, maybe still better off to stay on street level, and you can see it, just go towards it. we found this building at first is because we need take the coach from osaka to tokyo. the coach terminal is in this building .

if you buy a 1 or 2 days osaka pass ( 2 days pass is only for oversea visitors, need passport which has right entry stamps), the entrance is free.

don't know why it is called floating garden, definitely no garden like to me. you get up with lift then a very very long escalater with a blue sky like picture above you, look like you are up to heaven. there are warming sign about taking off your caps or hats, lots of people must lost their hats in the windy day, it is open air one. lots of set ups for lovers, like chairs for couples which lighting up, a big red heart with date on for couples to take photos, and lockers you can buy to lock them on bars, how about keys, are you allowd to throw thew down??? should not, i guess.

if you buy osaka pass, you have lots of free entrance to up in the air, another goverment tower we went up and 2 giant wheels as while. so 1 days, we went up and down 4 times.

osaka is a great city and lots of to offer too. it is best and favourest city in japan regarding transport, food, onsens, shopping and accomodations.

Make sure to go there and witness sunset in Osaka follow by the night scene of Osaka!

Is 700 yen per pax but if you purchase the Osaka unlimited pass this entrance fee is waived :)

An interesting building in its own right from an architecture perspective so getting up close and personal to it at ground floor level is worth it. The views from the top are great - 360 degrees....out to the sea and over to the airport etc.

It's a massive building which does exactly what it says on the tin and gives you a cracking view over the whole of Osaka. Don't be fooled by the name, there is no garden as such - it's a big concrete walkway outside giving you the full 360 degress. I would say (for 700 Yen) it's probably worth having a wander round just to take in the scale of the city you've found yourself in.
