“Hours of fun, health and relaxation in lovely surroundings”

Large swimming and slide area for families and segregated areas for men and women to enjoy the wonderful spa experience. Friendly staff will help you if required. You will be completely naked in the spa area but the Japanese have no hang-ups about this and neither should you. Massage and a cafe are also available. Massage here is done through clothing but is very relaxing an effective. Great experience

“One of the Best Tourist Attractions of Osaka”
Reviewed November 11, 2012

This is not just a public bathhouse but a tourist attraction. You may feel like taking pictures inside, but as a matter of course, it is strictly prohibited. If you are a budget traveller, it is an idea to stay overnight, paying extra 1300 yen, although there are some super-reasonable hotels available for 1200-2000 yen per night near Spa World. Incidentally, you may buy a discounted ticket for Spa World for 900 yen at the hotel receptions.

“Onsen experience”
Reviewed November 8, 2012

Easy to get to via doubutsuenmae (before the zoo) subway station, take exit 5 when you reach the station. There are separate baths for men and women, men take the 6th floor and ladies the 4th. Men should try the salt sauna!

“Good bath, good place to stay too”
Reviewed November 1, 2012

I stayed here overnight in a Japanese room for 4 - extremely cheap if you use the online booking system (3000Y per person, including your bathing). This is a STEAL for Osaka accomodation.

The baths are quirky and fun, very CLEAN. The water slides upstairs have extra fees, we did go a few rounds though which was fun. Don't bother eating here, the food is not as good as what you could get from just downstairs, which is right on a bustling lively street under Tsutenkaku tower.

Note: if you have been to the bath in Tokyo at Odaiba Oedo Onsen, this is not as good as the Tokyo one (that one is slightly newer, and has the 'traditional theme' aspect, and is quieter. Osaka Spa World can be a little crowded and noisy (but this didn't really affect the quality of the bathing, and the hotel section where we stayed was very quiet.)

“Value for money! Relaxing”
Reviewed October 28, 2012

Cost Y1000 per person, need to bring Y100 coins for shoe and clothes locker (refundable). Separated Male/Female section. So may be bored if you are alone.

Need gettting used to at first coz every one is naked. After a while, you get used to it and realise no one is looking at you. There is separate floor for men and woman and the 3rd floor for restaurant. The spa comes with Mediterrian, Bali, Outdoor, Doctor Spa, Salt scrub theme etc. After a while, it all the same...hot water and more hot water.

You can stay as long as you like, no time limit. There is a mini "water park" on the 6th floor. Kids will enjoy it. Need swim suit on this floor.

There is complimentary shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, body scrub cloth, hair treatment lotion, face lotion, hair dryer, towels etc.

Worth the visit.
