“Very small but nice room”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 16, 2013

Convenient location in JR Shin-Osaka station. Twin rooms (1242 and 1243) had 2 nice single beds (with soft, comfortable linens) placed directly side-by-side, 1 small table, 1 massage chair, and a "wall unit" with TV, phone, clock, refrigerator that could only hold 4 half-liter bottles of water, and a small shelf with enough room for a very small amount of clothing. "Closet" area held our 2 suitcases (1 below and 1 above), and had a complementary room safe. There was less than 15 cm on each side of the beds, and about 25 cm at the ends of the beds for moving about the room. The two of us could not be in motion at once.

The bathroom was generous compared to the room. It was the length of the room, half bathroom/Japanese toilet, and about half shower. The walls of the bathroom were glass. Our view out of the shower was of the towers of Shin-Osaka, and light from outside could pass through to the inner room (unless you closed the blinds of the outer wall and pulled down the shades of the inner wall). In the evening the view was rather spectacular. There was a plastic stool in the generously-sized shower, making this the best place in the room.

Bathroom was stocked with good bath gel, shampoo and conditioner. In-room tea kettle and at-the-reception-desk tea bags (Lipton fruit teas, green tea, and an oolong black tea). Two complementary bottles of water daily (in the summer). There was a notice that window cleaners might be outside from 10-4 (remember the glass shower wall?) but we didn't see any.

My room was close to the registration desk and the first morning I was woken, twice, by what sounded like children running in the hallway.

Registration personnel spoke enough English to be helpful, and I never had to wait longer than a minute to be helped.

This is not a room to spend time in, but the location and the value were good. The hotel does not have a swimming pool. Many restaurants located in the train station below.

Room Tip: My 12th floor non-smoking room had some hallway noise, and we asked for a higher floor (Reception is...

We booked this hotel because we were staying there for 2 nights and catching the Bullet train to Hiroshima. We arrived from Kansai JR line and walked 5 minutes in the station area and the Hotel Remm entrance is there just passed the booking section for the Bullet train. The Remm is a lovely hotel beautiful rooms very quiet, booking in and checking very quickly. We had breakfast included which was located at the restaurant just near the entrance to the hotel. All rooms include an electric massage chair wonderful.

Room Tip: All rooms are quiet not a sound could we hear although trains are coming and going all the time, and...

The room was small and consequently everything inside it was proportionately small

Remm Shin Osaka is conveniently located next to the train station; in fact you don't even have to leave the station to get to the reception, which located near the exit of the JR. Whilst the hotel is modern looking, clean and tidy, there is nothing special about this place. The reception is efficient but not overly friendly. There is no lounge area to wait when you arrive and leave the hotel. The rooms are extremely small and are geared towards the short term business visitor as opposed to groups. We used it as a base to explore the city, and because it was located next to the metro station it was pretty convenient, which was good because the taxis in this town are expensive. On the positive side the wi-fi connection around the hotel was good, the room and walkways very clean, and the micro bathroom functioned well. In summary there are probably better and cheaper options if you're staying in Osaka more than just a single day, especially if you’re back packing or on a romantic trip look for something else, however if its business trip or your just passing through for a night this isn't a bad option.

Stayed here for a night. Was really impressed, very swank! The place us quite modern with a full glass window between bathroom and the main room. Room is small by Japanese standards, but as the hotel is new, this is to be expected. There are cheaper options around here, but the convenience and great looks makes it a place to come back to. The price is slightly on the higher side, but they do toss in the VOD system in to it.

Stayed 3 nights in this hotel, although the room was small (can only open 1 suitcase at a time), but the bathroom was big! Can sit down and take shower like Japanese do. Love their Shampoo, Conditioner and shower gel! nice smell and nice to use. Room equipped with a massage chair which is another plus.
The location was excellent, it is located on the top of Shin-Osaka JR station, easy for us to travel around.
Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Will definitely choose this hotel again in the future.

We just stayed one night in Osaka, so our choice is location go first. Remm Shin Osaka Hotel stays just on top of the Shin Osaka JR Station, it is convenient to carry our luggage and move to and from the city. As the hotel is on the upper floor, the view is nice. The room is small but cozy, facilities have been designed to make it convenient for guests, my husband liked the bathroom most. One thing we are not so satisfied is the lighting, a bit too soft.

Absolutely PERFECT! Not only the amazing position(it's INSIDE the Shinkansen train station of Shin-Osaka) but the QUALITY of the hotel and the staff. Gorgeous room with all the facilities and a silent atmosphere, an outstanding bathroom, walls just made of glass with a HUGe shower... This hotel will be my safe stop in Osaka since now ;)
Absolutely a must!
