“the best hostel i've stayed in Japan”
Reviewed April 10, 2014

I just stayed here last sunday. this hostel is superb! i stayed in female dorm, and i got ryokan traditional Japanese room, better than my expectation. it can be the alternative way for you who want to stay at Japanese ryokan but way cheaper only 2700 Y (because mostly ryokan provided in private rooms in many hostels and more pricey).

this hostel actually a Japanese traditional house that modified into hostel. the hostel is really clean, from the room, living room, until the shower room. i thought this hostel also don't accommodate too many guess because the capability of the house, it's a plus value that makes this hostel comfy and homie, and also make you more interact with other guesses from many countries. i love the Japanese park in front of the house, small but beautiful with pinky blooming sakura's tree inside.

unfortunately, i just stayed here one nite to catch flight at KIX. but if i go to Osaka again, i definitely would stay here again :))))

Very nice, quaint, traditional little guest house. Easy check in. A bit far from Osaka Central. Need to change a few trains to get from Shin Osaka->Osaka->Tennoji->Bisoen. But Bisoen station is just a 5 min walk. Lawsons close by.

They made me feel welcome. Staff spoke enough English. Even though the place was open last at night, it was very quiet. I stayed in the 4 bed male dorm. No hassles at all. Good company.

Clean bathroom and toilet. Only issue was there was only 1, so had to wait at times.

I would stay here again.

Staying in this small homestay in the heart of Osaka feels as quaint as one is staying at the Raffles in Singapore or the Peninsula in HK. Old world charm is the main attraction. Enterd from a small door with a "noren' from the road, one is warmly welcomed by the beautifully manicured zen garden . the rooms are in tatami mats set in old Japanese style. the wooded floors add a special feel while the courtyard with stone path pot makes it truly an authetic japanese house. As in most Japanese homestay. the Staff are beyond excellent. We felt so happy and welcomed that we ended up staying for 4 nights
