We stayed in a family quad room in December for 3 nights and were very happy with our choice.
The location really is excellent ! We too found it difficult to find at first but I believe this is because the Map on the hotel website shows Namba Station but it is not the 'JR' Namba Station, right next door. And if ,like us, you have been in Japan about one hour it is all a bit overwhelming anyway.
That aside we were also assisted by a very helpful cab driver and once located we were delighted. The rooms are large compared to others we stayed in , the rate was excellent - 24,000 yen per night, about half what we paid in Kyoto & Tokyo - and the location really is perfect.
Only a short 10 minutes stroll through the busy arcades to the Dotonbori restaurant & cafe street and right on the doorstep of The Namba Walk underground shopping centre.
We found the staff brisk and efficient and had no problems at all with any odours ( and we are very much NON smokers).
Perhaps not the most luxurious place we have every stayed but the price tag and location made up for it.
Highly recommended for families.
