Review of Sheraton Miyako Hotel Osaka

I stayed in this hotel for two nights. It was very convenient as it was next to the train station. The breakfast buffet was excellent. The only thing was that the lounge felt really warm as there was no AC and had 2 fans on.

Best Value Hotels in Osaka
This area is really cool. The hotel is just above Kintetsu railway and departmental store,you can find in a Japanese supermarket.

The underground will lead you to the closest subway. Just across the street, there are little shops where you can have suppers.

Great location + customer service
This hotel is very central in Osaka, adjacent to the Uehommachi station--with great access to Nara and the rest of Osaka. It's adjacent to a large Kintetsu department store, with a typically great food hall in the basement level. There are a number of quality restaurants, etc. in the surrounding area.

The rooms were great, as were the shower/bath products.

And, even by Japan's high standards, the customer service was excellent. My wife had a high fever, and Fujii-san from the front desk was extremely helpful in getting her medical care. He stayed with us throughout, and translated the particularly tricky medical terms, going above and beyond any of my expectations.

I highly recommend this hotel.

Relaxing staycation
I live in Osaka and sometimes use this hotel for leisure. Over the national holiday, I decided to stay overnight with my son for a change of pace and enjoy the dinner buffet (lots of meat!!!). The room was one of the newly renovated rooms and we had a Hollywood king (?), anyway a very huge sleeping space created by two beds pushed together. There was a nice lounger sofa and a table for my son to spread out his toys. I called down for a pocket WiFi for my son's tablet and it was delivered within 10 minutes. Soon afterward, Housekeeping brought up a cute heart-shaped apple pie for us to enjoy! I was very surprised and quite delighted. After relaxing and watching a Marvel movie marathon, we went up to the dinner buffet. My son is too young to fully take advantage of a buffet so I had to eat for two, but it was no trouble at all! The meat buffet was really great, including duck, lamb, roast steak and more. All the meats were cooked to perfection, I have nothing but good things to say about it. Staff were lovely as well. Language issues aren't really a big deal in a buffet, I had nothing to ask of anyone, but lots of smiles abounded. Back in the room we had all amenities we required. The A/C was quite cool so I ended up turning it off. We were quite close to the elevator so we could hear people coming and going, which actually made my son nervous and it was hard for him to go to sleep. For that reason I would probably ask for an older room further away from the elevator next time. And there will be a next time! Breakfast buffet wasn't as bad as I was expecting from reading other reviews, but we went down past 9 a.m. so I guess the rush was over. We were able to take our time and the service was good. Coffee was at the table by the time we got back from round one and they also delivered a fried egg fresh from the egg station. We always enjoy our stay here and look forward to coming back. Thank you everyone for a great stay.

Large Hotel Away from the Action
We stayed for 2 nights at this hotel as part of a tour group with AmazTravel and Charming Tour. As a well-known hotel brand, the hotel catered to a variety of clientele from tourists to businessmen. The large hotel has a spacious lobby and restaurant area. The front desk/reception is located on the second level of the building. The rooms were average in size, clean, and adequate. The smell of cigarette smoke was evident in the room. Also, the air-conditioning system did not seem to be adequate in keeping the room cool and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was very good. Service was friendly and prompt. Despite all this, the location of the hotel does not seem ideal for the tourist as it is not right at the center of Osaka's busy tourist area. It takes 1.2 miles from the hotel to reach Dotonburi, For the younger tourist, this may be ok. For seniors, it may be difficult. Taxis are expensive so be prepared.

Excellent Suitable to brand Sheraton :
We stayed with group for 02nts. Stylish Hotel, comfort of rooms, good amenities in bathroom, Neat and Clean rooms, lobby, restaurant. Excellent breakfast menus. Hotel is adjacent to station. Staff in hotel, reception and restaurant, are very courtesies and helpful.
