We stayed here for two nights in April, as a side trip from Tokyo. The location is very convenient for day trips to Kyoto, as Osaka station has several trains running between Osaka and Kyoto through the day (Express or local, but express is well worth the small extra fee). From Tokyo, we had taken the shinkansen to Shin-Osaka, and then another train from Shin-Osaka to Osaka station. It is important to note that this hotel is in Osaka station (not the same station where the bullet train arrives, but one stop on another train).
The room was basic but clean and enough for our needs - single beds and bathroom with a super deluxe toilet! The beds were quite hard, but adequate. The room did have a nice view of the city from the 23rd floor and the fridge, hot water dispenser/kettle and free wifi were useful as well. It was difficult to shower without the shower curtain moving too much into the bathtub (and trying to avoid touching it), but overall we were satisfied with the room.
As a bonus, there is an entire "city" in Osaka Station City, with plenty of shopping and restaurants all within the same complex. The basement food courts of the department stores there offer a wide selection of food at reasonable prices, which are discounted as the evening draws to a close. There are pamphlets for store/restaurant directories in the lobby which are in Japanese, but not difficult to navigate with pictures and some names in English.

Room Tip: Room facing towards city offer better view

Stayed here for 3 nights in June. Had a Placid Double on the Granvia Floor. The hotel is very nice and is located actually IN the Osaka station! TIP: its in the "South Gate Building." Look for those signs when trying to locate it. The hotel occupied the uppermost 8 or so floors of the building. Our room was on this new Granvia Floor. Absolutely NO smell of smoke at all, which is rare in Japan. The room was decent sized, but felt a little cramped because its sort of narrow. It was very quiet. Even though its in the train station we heard absolutely zero train noise of any kind. The room had lots of good extras in it. There is a fridge to use, bose speakers to hook your iPod up to and a safe in the room. The bathroom was very nice, and had the best Japanese toilet with fun features of our whole trip. The shower is a rain shower and was very fun to use. The bed very very comfortable with nice soft pillows. Staff was very nice and accommodating. They spoke the best english of our entire trip.

As for the bad.....
Make 100% sure that you get an outside facing room. The hotel is basically shaped like a hallow square. So if you're on the inside, you're only view is the other walls! Completely terrible! Take a look at my photo above and you'll see what I mean.
The Granvia Floor is supposed to come with a lounge and "complimentary buffet service of soft drinks and baked sweets." The lounge is ok, but the soft drinks turns out to be a couple of juices, the baked sweets is the same 4 crackers all day every day. Again, you can see my photos. This perk turned out to be worth very very little.
Finally, the door. This is really strange and hard to explain. Our room was EXTREMELY difficult to open! You could open it half way, and then you had to fight for your life! Almost lost a leg trying to get the luggage in the room!

Room Tip: Make sure to get outside room. Inside has NO VIEW AT ALL!!! Granvia Floor snacks not worth much.

It the second time that I'm stopping here for one night before traveling to the company; quite convenient from the airport, I'm suggesting to get the bus, it's starting from airport and in 60 min. Park at 500 mt from the hotel.the rooms are quite small, but standard in Japan; free wifi and some restaurant, but in few minute walk you can try a real Japanese cuisine than its better to walk little bit.

Stayed here one night before leaving from Osaka station. Great location with all the facilities of a large japanese railway station. Nice room on a Granvia floor. Slightly offhand staff on leaving bags and later check in was unusual for Japan but private checkout was good.

The room are very small compared to others we have had in Japan
the hotel is spotless and the staff are so helpful the breakfast is not well organised and very congested the staff cannot clear the tables fast enough there seems to be a lot of staff but unorganized but still worth a stay
