“Very small room, good service, good location”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 16, 2012

Forget it if you're a big guy. The room can't accommodate the space for you to pack you luggage on the floor. I had to place my luggage on the bed when packing. The restroom got 1/2 size bath tub which is funny. Ohh, btw NO closet. Just hang your clothes.

Even said that, the room is clean. They're kind enough to put tiny fridge. So, buy small box of milk if you want to put it in this fridge.

Beware of senior to stay here. The location is somewhat good. I mean you can literally walk from Shin Osaka hotel, but you need to cross the flyover which is high. My mom got exhausted before beginning the trip becoz of it.

There're at least 4 convenient shops (7/11, Lawson, etc) nearby. You can also find Okonomiyaki restaurant and MOS burger within 5 minutes. The receptionist is friendly (Japanese standard on this is comparatively high). Everything else is good but I can't stand the size of the room.

This hotel is great for budget travellers who wants a relatively nice hotel. The hotel is minutes away from Shin-Osaka station. The staff were also very cordial, as expected from a Japanese hotel. The single room is definitely for 1 person only as the room was a bit small, though of course it was understandable since this is somehow a budget hotel. A bad point for this hotel was the room that 1 of my companions stayed in reeked of cigarette smoke. However, the rooms were clean overall. Another bad point was that the walls are not quite sound proof such that 1 of my companions, who happened to have a slightly noisy neighbor, wasn't able to get a nice rest.

Small rooms, walls need refinishing, clean with superb helpful staff. Perfect location, lots of cheap restaurants. Easy access from Midosugi Line station before Shin Osaka first one on elevated segment. Go view Chagall painting in New Osaka Hotel across street!

Room Tip: Assure non smoking!

I choose Chisun Shin Osaka, because it is easy to access to Kyoto and Tokyo by Shinkansen..

First time entering the room... woww.... it's very small, I stayed with hubby and two young children.. but overall, my holiday in Osaka will be a good memory.

And Thank you to every one who give me so many tip and advice....included direction to Chisun Shin Osaka

I stayed here for 2 nights, from 2 - 4 July 2012.

Rooms
The rooms is very compact, compare to other chisun hotel, but very modern and clean. The bathup and bathroom is small, you will hard to breathe after stay a while in there. But i already prepared myself to see compact size, i got what i paid.

Location
10 minutes walk from shin-osaka station, the instruction on the website usually hard to navigate, but this time i can directly found the hotel. I don't know much about what happening around the area, there is nakau restaurant in front of the hotel, konbini is very near as well. But you need to take train from shin-osaka to happening area.

Service
I love the service in this hotel, they greet me with smile and happiness. They tried so hard to speak English and assist me, i arrived around 2.30 PM, time for check in 3PM, but they let me to check in before the time. I really love the atmosphere and happiness in the front office. I keep my luggage after check out, because i still have time to get around Osaka. When i want to get it back, once again they assist me with smile. After 11 days in Japan, my body is very tired, but when i see smile and happiness really help me to refresh my energy.

Overall, i love my stay at Chisun Hotel Shin-Osaka, i will definitely stay here again if i have another opportunity to visit Japan. Keep up a Good job.

I spent ten days in Osaka and surrounding areas at Chisun Hotel Shin-Osaka in June 2012. My wife and I really enjoyed our stay there. The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly even though they could they speak little English. We were lucky to meet a male staff there. I forgot his name, but he looked half-Caucasian and spoke very good English. When we told him that we would take a taxi to the airport to get back to Bangkok, he was shocked. We would have to pay around 12,000 yen or more for the taxi. With his advice, he took a short taxi ride to another hotel, where we bought two bus tickets to the airport. That cost us 1,500 yen each.

The room is not spacious, but that is typical in Japan. With around 1,600 baht a night, it is a very good deal. There is an internet connection in each room, and we paid only 1,000 yen for a day rent of the hotel's laptop.

It is 10 minutes walk from the Shin-Osaka subway and train terminal, so we had no problem getting into town from the hotel. We bought 2 JR passports, which cost us around 10,000 baht each for seven days of free rides on JR trains and Shinkansen. We took two Shinkansen trips to Nagoya and Kyoto, and enjoyed them tremendously.

i have stayed in chisun hotel shinosaka twice. its a great location, near the jr/subway/hanshin thus v convenient for travelling. food at a nearby building (nissay) is cheaper than osaka station. the hotel is also clean & quiet & breakfast buffet is gd. i wish they have self service ice maker since there's no fridge in the room!

i have also stayed in other chinsun hotels in tokyo, kyoto, hokkaido. price is always gd. when the rooms are small, consider single room for each person. it's still worth your $
