“Great time killer and kids will LOVE it”
Reviewed June 26, 2013 via mobile

I have a 6 and 2.5yr old and they loved the place. You can spend a whole day there if you want to. Get off at Omigachi station and follow the signs posted showing kids plaza. Its less physical play and more learning and interaction. My kids loved role playing at the stalls, Supermarket and tv studio the best. Science area great too. Missed out on the arts and craft area as it closes an hour earlier which was disappointing. You can leave to go and buy food to bring in and eat. Mos burger is our favourite fast food in Japan and is just across the road. As others have mentioned there is a large park and play area behind the building. Kids plaza recommended on rainy days or if you want a break from sightseeing.

“Half a day will do”
Reviewed June 26, 2013

This place is situated inside a big complex, just next to the subway station. Very easy to find.

We were very thrilled initially. And even before arriving Osaka, i thought of going to this place for 2 days.

There is a section, for young children to do role-plays. And a few costumes, eg. Postman uniforms, for children to put on.
A supermarket, with plastic grocery, for children to do grocery-shopping & even scanning your purchase & printing out receipts.

But seriously if you like this type of role-plays for your children, Baby Boss in Taipei would be a much better choice, more well-designed.

OveralI, i would say, it is still a fun place for kids to explore, to enjoy. But just half a day will do.
I was there on a weekday. The place was packed with pupils. School excursion. By mid-day, the complex became very quiet and empty.

For mummies, after this, you could cross the road and behind the row of shophouses, it is a long stretch of sheltered shopping belt. And various restaurants too. For your lunch.

“Excellent for kiddos”
Reviewed April 24, 2013

Loved this place, siimilar to Paris' Cite des enfants. Water installations, climbing areas, dramatic play, science experiments, etc. Can easily spend a whole afternoon here. Nice park outside too and it's right beside the station.

“start from 9:30”
Reviewed April 7, 2013

If with kids under 12, sure go. the kids will enjoy and will be there until 17:00. You may also entertain somehow with animals on show or other parts which can be used and seen by adults also. Have your lunch with you, otherwise, you may go out and buy Hamburgers from MOS or chicken food from KFC as well as many Japanese restaurants around. There is good place to eat inside but there is no food to buy and only drinks from vending machines. Usually there will be no more energy left for any program afterward. Access to there is very convenient by subway.

“Absolutely loved this place!”
Reviewed March 31, 2013

The Kids Plaza is an indoor playground, interactive science museum, mini zoo, role playing diorama place. it is absolutely amazing and fun for all kids and parents alike. The place is clean and very well maintained.

This is a better choice to bring your children than the universal studios. ticket is around 1,600 for aduts and about half of that for kids. You may bring your own food in, but there are plenty of restaurants nearby. You may also re-enter within the day you buy your tickets.

Absolutely fabulous and uniquely japanese. We can't wait to go back!
