“Nice views of Osaka Bay”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 29, 2013

Decided to take a ride since it was next to the aquarium and there was no queue, so got the whole capsule. The wheel gives you a nice view of the Osaka bay area and especially the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge. A revolution is about 15-20mins and quite enjoyable. After your ride, you can head into the connected mall and have some nice food at the Japanese food alley beside the food court, which didn’t have particularly good food.

“Great City Views”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 29, 2013

Went on the wheel at night after visiting the aquarium as they are right next to each other. Takes 15 minutes to go all the way round. There were no queues for the wheel and the views were stunning. There is English and Japanese commentary on various areas of the city you are viewing.

“claimed 112.5 meter above ground and the highest one in the world.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 15, 2013

don't know this is still true or not. anyway, it is included in Osaka pass(2 days 2700 yen-2 days pass is only for foreingers, need passport to buy), otherwise will cost 700 yen. no line at all for us, around 12 noon, went there with Japanese friends, she asked for a clear glass bottom cabin for us, but 2 girls did not want this cabin and went into a cabin which has a double normal human sized hello kitty fluffy toy doll, friend said this is for little kids who are afraid of heigt, so the parents will tell the kids-you see kitty is brave, so you can be too, so hug the doll with comfort. I took a photo with this doll too. all the Japanese services are so considering in lots of details I found during my 15 days visit.

on the top, you can have a great bird view of the Osaka city, read the prints on your window, which can help you to identify which building is which. you can see universal studio too.

afterwards, we had lunch at tempozan village shopping mall. there is a 100 yen shop, you can grap some good value stuff, bought 4 pieces, check out later on, the quality is great too.

with the Osaka pass, you have a chance to up in the Osaka air many time-we did hep five and floating garden oberservatory at night, and Osaka prefectural government Sakishima building observatory- not far from tempozan ferris wheel, but you need change from chuo line to new tram line also called nanko port town line and off at trade center mae station, exit 2, at underground, pay some attention to the sign, if possible remember the Japanese writing, I remember the signs are in Japanese, most of signs in Osaka in both Japanese and English, but few in Japanese, the signs seems are temperory ones, maybe too many people asking station staff for this direction, the staff just put one up themselves to help reducing this kind of inquries.

have fun, you will feel you are at top of world!!!

“Great views”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 2, 2013

It's a giant ferris wheel but given virtually very city in the world now has one, it's lost it's cache and title of world's tallest. But the views are spectacular. It's right by the harbour so you get industrial, shipping, city and residential 360 degrees.

“Wonderful date spot”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 29, 2013

Very scenic with sweeping views of the city. We went at night and there was no line. If you're staying near the main stations (Umeda or Namba) its a little bit out of the way (maybe 8 stops and a transfer on the metro). The time around a full loop on the ride is about 10 minutes - bring your own beverages and a snack in a bag and enjoy the views. There is also an arcade at the base
