The hotel is like anything else in Japan, clean, organized and functional. the location is pretty good to. It is close to the subway lines meaning that you can practically reach any point in the city in a few minutes. The neighborhood is rather quiet and if you walk at night, you wont see many people around. However, the neighborhood feels safe and is pleasant to walk around.
The price is good for Japan too. I only paid a little bit more than 100 bucks per night for a double room.
The rooms are small as other reviewers have mentioned. But for Japanese standards, I thought it was average or even bigger than expected.
Check in and check out were fast and efficient. The hotel premises are well kept and the rooms are functional and clean.
The beds are traditional japanese beds which are harder and thinner than the standards american bed. But keep in mind that most places will have thin mattresses.

We stayed here for one night in Nov 12 and thought that the rooms were very nice: clean, modern, great shower. However, after paying 9,100 yen for the room, when we asked them to print our flight boarding passes we were charged 120 yen! The receptionist didn't seem to understand why we might find that a bit annoying! Also, the hotel does not have wi-fi ( they have LAN cables in the room), which was inconvenient, and surprising considering how widely available wi-fi is throughout Japan.

This business hotel is good for its location (next to Kitahama subway St.), in front of a 7-11 shop and next to a big dep store; the rooms are clean, great shower & toilet, and the reception staff do their best to help their customers. Though willing to serve them, sometimes the language issue (not many japanese people speak fluent english) made it a bit different to make ourselves understood with them.
For us, the only handicap in the Brighton City Osaka Hotel is that the room we stayed in was far too small to fit in two single beds (actually, it was a single room with two beds). That left little space to place the luggage or even walk around the bed, and we actually had paid for a double room, so we really expected something else. The television was placed in the right side of the two beds, so we had to watch it turning completely our heads (that was quite odd).
Besides, they had no Wifi connection in the room (!??!!?), just a LAN access. That's pretty poor for a *business hotel*.
Price was just OK (85€ a night)

Room Tip: Good for a single room. I doubt ours was the only *fake* double room in the hotel

This hotel is a business hotel with a luxury feel to it. We arrived early for check-in so we left bags with the reception staff, and went out on town. Arriving back at the hotel we got a speedy check-in, and were told that the bags was already in our room (excellent!). The staff Spears good enlighet English.
The room is of standard japanese size. The bathroom/shower was in class with any luxury hotel. The beds were comfy and on the large size. The desk contained à safedrawer and controls for the AC and lighting. Free (cable) internet is provided.
There is an seven-eleven right across the street with an ATM for you our cash and that quick stop for a late snack. There are some restaurangs nearby but otherwise very calm city block. With that in mind the hotel is a bit of the mainstream of the city pulse. But if you don't mind a 5-10 minute walk to the Yodoyabaschi subway station, you are just one stop away from Osaka and Umeda station with all the huzzle and buzzle that this mega city has to offer.

Modern hotel, with rooms slightly bigger than the average Japanese hotel. Great shower next to bath. Room has enough space for a desk beside the bed, which you don't have to trip over to move around. Located right next to one of the exists of kitahama station. Kitahama station is not on the same line as the one that heads from JR Shin Osaka to downtown, but you can walk across underground from a nearby station.

This hotel is a good for the price and is centrally located within a business district in Osaka. There are plenty of restaurants, cafes and grocery/convienance stores in the area. There is no wi-fi in the hotel so you have to use a LAN cable to use the internet. The front desk supplies LAN cables for you to use. The shower is really awesome, it has great pressure and there are two different shower heads to choose from. The subway is very close by, a 1 minute walk to the hotel from the nearest station. I walked to the Osaka Castle from the hotel and it took about 20 minutes or so, a very easy and nice walk. There is no swimming pool, spa, fitness center, etc.I would stay at this hotel again and recommend it to friends.

Although this is a nice enough hotel in Osaka... The staff clearly does not want you to return. Don't attempt to check in early... Don't attempt to have guests, they will be blocked from stepping into the elevator... Don't attempt to store your luggage... Don't attempt to connect to the Internet... Don't attempt to order room service, there isn't any. All in all, this is not a good business hotel!

On the bright side, the shower was excellent, but still not enough for me to ever stay here again.
