Great value hotel for travelers looking for a clean room that's centrally located in the middle of the Osaka action. Despite getting a smoking room after clearly booking a no-smoking room, we have no complaints. While the rooms feel a little dated, they've been well-maintained and are immaculate. We had a functional window, nice view, tea/coffee maker and complimentary slippers and robes. One of our favorite things about the room was the bed's headboard control center: lights, AC and over 400 commercial free radio stations! Oh, and note the "deluxe double" bed is very small - felt more like an oversized twin bed. I'd recommend this place and stay here again.

Stayed here for 5 days in February 2014. This was my second visit to Osaka. The first time I stayed near Shinsaibashi and loved the location, and was looking to stay nearby again.

For the price, the rooms are very basic. Definitely to smaller side, as is common with Japanese hotel rooms, but you won't be in your room for very long considering all the amazing offerings around you. Just a minute walk to the famous Shinsaibashi shopping strip, a 5 minute walk down the road to Dotonbori for endless food options and Amerika-mura is just behind the hotel. Subway station is about a minute away. Location is everything with this hotel!

There is no complimentary wifi in rooms, only in the lobby. However, you can purchase a portable wifi from reception for 500yen a day. Very cheap, considering it was only around AUD$6. But if a room near yours has the portable wifi already, it is possible to use theirs.

Vending machines are on certain levels, as are ice machines. Convenience stores are nearby (closest one is towards Amerika-mura) for more drinks and snacks.

So many choices around the hotel for food! The cafe right across from the hotel entrance, Planet 3rd, does amazing food. If you walk from the hotel straight down the street towards Shinsaibashi, there's also a place on the right, just before you hit the shopping strip, that does the best brunch I've ever had in my life (right next door to the jewellery store, the cafe is of the same name). Shakey's all-you-can-eat is along the strip, as are many teppanyaki and traditional Japanese choices. You're spoiled for choice in this area.

Overall, this hotel is well-worth the price if you're simply looking for somewhere to sleep after a long day of exploring Osaka and the nearby areas. Shinsaibashi station is only 4 stops away from Osaka station if you're heading to Kobe or Kyoto for day trips. Namba station is a 10-15 minute walk away for more JR lines to/from/around Osaka.

Great budget choice for shopping addicts or foodies. Would not hesitate to stay again.

Awesome location in Osaka. Plenty of food and bars within walking distance. Around the corner from the Apple store. Great clothes shops, tattoo parlours, izakayas... and a short walk to Dotonbori and other attractions. There's a great cafe on the corner next to the hotel across the street that's run by two lovely old ladies who will cook a fantastic home style meal for you. Would definitely stay here again.

This hotel is not fancy, but it’s clean and in a very convenient location. The front desk staff don’t speak a lot of English, but well enough. You have to drop off your room key when you head out, and tell them your room number to retrieve it when you return. The hotel is just a few minutes walk from the Shinsaibashi Station on the Midosuji subway line. If you have a lot of luggage, note that you have to climb the stairs to get to the street. Take exit 7 and turn right. When you see the Puma store, turn right and walk about half a block. It will be on your left. There’s lots of restaurants and shopping in this area - both small electic stores and high-end brand names.

If you need to do laundry, there’s a small laundromat close by: from the main building, turn left when you exit the hotel. Turn right at the street corner. Walk a few stores down, you’ll see a Family Mart. The laundromat is located to the side of the building in a little alley.

Pros:
- Close to subway
- A short walk away is Dotonbori/Namba, the main tourist area
- Lots of restaurants and shopping in the area
- Clean
- Electronic air purifier/filter is available in the room
- In-room safe

Cons:
- Decor a bit dated
- Small room (but was acceptable considering we were in Japan)
- Very small bathroom (but there was a tub, and the shower water pressure was good)
- No free WiFi in room (only in the lobby) but there was a LAN connection

Overall, a good place to stay and excellent value for the money.

The hotel is located in the middle of Osaka, few minutes walk to Shinsaibashi. Nearby the hotel you can found MacDonalds, Burger King & Starbucks easily. Some small shops selling hip-hop style clothes are nearby. Hotel looks kinda old. Room is small but all amnesties are provided.

The only thing i feel is they have wi-fi only in lobby. My Osaka - Kyoto trip, I stayed 4 hotels and this is the only hotel that don't have wi-fi in room. A bit not convenient for me.

I have problems with communicate with the staff there. They are not really good in speaking English. Overall, I have good stay.
