Almost all front desk staff doesn't speak english, there is one old guy who speak little english but was so arrogant. They are not friendly, which a front desk officer should be.

Room was small. They advertise wrong size of room.

It's location is quite okay. it's nearer to shinsaibashi station. and about 10 min walk to namba station.

I wont recommend this hotel if you

Pros:
Excellent location, in the cool neighbourhood of Amerika-mura and walking distance to Dotonbori
Walkable from Osaka Namba - 10-15 minutes shaded walk through the Ebisu-suji and Shinsaibashi-suji (no need to take subway again)
Clean rooms, bathrooms
Not noisy despite being on the highway
public bath is lovely
very affordable rates

Cons:
Room is a bit small, no space to put the suitcase. As I was traveling alone, I just had my suitcase on one side of the bed.
No breakfast
REception staff was at first not friendly, took a while to warm up and help with directions, recommendations, etc.

I had a great stay at this Dormy Inn and got a fantastic rate. This is a great location right in the centre of town. It's great if you like the nightlife around. Having the sento/baths was also a great way to relax after a long flight and then the trip down from Tokyo. Staff were very welcoming and for the price, it was a nice breakfast too. It's not the classiest hotel in the world for sure, but I thought this was fantastic value for money. My friend was also DJ'ing at club triangle, almost next door so the location was perfect. If you want a well priced place to stay in the heart of the action in Osaka, this is a great place to stay. There are plenty of places to get food around here, as well as clubs and some nice small bars. It's also pretty close to both Namba and Shinsaibashi so good for transport links.

Room Tip: Try to get a room facing away from the highway. Mine happened to be, but looking at the reviews, th...

This is a slightly older hotel in a great location. It is right in the heart of shinsaibashi which is a fun area to be in. The prices are very reasonable and the sento is pretty nice. My complaint is that the place is a little old and dark, and half the rooms face a noisy highway (there is a sound blocking panel, but that blocks the window as well). If you're not spending too much time in the room, this could be a good choice.

We stayed here for four nights, and overall we were satisfied with it. I would describe the room as functional but spartan. In fact "Dormy" is an excellent description actually, as it reminded me a great deal of my girlfriend's single dorm room where she lived during her Junior year of college, but with the addition of a private bath. Picture an institutional-looking desk and chair, no pictures on the walls, and a bed. The room is basic and small, but "gets the job done", with a desk, minifridge, and free internet. I will also mention that the place was very clean and well-maintained. The location is pretty decent, as its within easy walking distance of Dontonburi, Kuromon (sp?) market, etc. Be aware however that they jack up the price on weekends to almost double the weekday rate, from 6000 yen, to 11,000 yen. I feel that for 6000, this place is a good deal, but for 11,000 you could probably do better. Overall, I'd say that for the price and location... Its not bad, just don't expect mints on your pillow and concierge service. I guess maybe I'd stay here again.

this hotel was really hard for us to find. get good directions and in japanese too so people can help you. Luckily I happened to ask a super nice japanese girl who spoke reasonable english and called the hotel from her cell phone and translated directions for us. THANK YOU! the room was clean but small. the free laundry machine was nice. the breakfast was basic, yogurt bread, jam, butter, soup and salad but no complaints, it's free. it's in a great location and we had lots of fun walking around at night with lots of people out and about. we got a good deal on rakuten, i think around 70$ a night.
