“Absolutely Perfect”

The accommodation was exactly as advertised. It was very perfect for our family of 9 (7 adults and 2 children). Akiko was very professional and helpful from the very first moment I contacted him. During our 16 days trip to Japan staying in this Machiya was one of the best experiences for my family.
Thanks Akiko

“Great service, even better accommodation.”

From initial contact to parting words, Akiko has been a model of professionalism and a fantastic host. The house was brilliant, and suited our needs down to the ground. The area around Tofukuji Samurai Machiya is full of great little places to eat (Sushi Maru being a favorite) and a number of supermarkets with everything you could want. Can't really fault this place and we will most certainly book again when we are back in Kyoto. 5* accommodation.

“Great place to stay at in Kyoto”

Our stay at the Tofukuji Machiya was fantastic. Akiko and Patrick, the owners, did a fantastic job with this house and they are very accommodating and always willing to help. The house has absolutely everything you need, it is very comfortable, impeccable, cozy with beautiful decor. In our case it was 9 of us in our group and found this house perfect for our trip. The Tofukuji Station is rather close from the house, which makes it very convenient. If we ever go back to Kyoto, we would definitively stay at this Machiya again.
