This hotel was the perfect choice for our Kyoto stay. We stayed for 4 nights and managed to cover most of what we wanted to see in the city.. the hotel is just a 3-5 min walk to Kyoto station. So close but not noisy.. its in a quiet lane in front of the station.

Rooms were good.. & we loved the yukata robes the hotel provided. Welcome drink every evening and a good breakfast buffet. Very helpful staff .. we had no complaints.

One of male staff was talking with one couple for a ages in English while making jokes and laughing. His English is okay, but always said “——, okay? ——-, okay?”. It’s bit annoying, especially when there is a long queue behind the guests.
The room was so smelly, it would come from the drainage in the bathroom, I couldn’t sleep well and got bad headache from the smelly room.

First of all I like the location, it's just less than 5 minutes walk from Kyoto Station. So it's very convenient to go to major attractions by JR train, subway, bus and more. There 're many restaurants nearby such as Katsukura (for tonkatsu) on 11F of The Cube, 555Horai (for barbecue pork bun).

The hotel 's new, boutique style. Staffs 're very polite and friendly. I stayed in roof king double room on 6F for 3 nights. The room was good decorated and had enough space for 2 person with 2 large suitcases.

They have free welcome drinks every nights for all guests and also have some tea and coffee that guests can bring to their rooms, yes it's free. Breakfast was good.

The other thing I love is room wear "SAMUE", it's very comfort and make me well sleeping every night. Sure I bought one.

Highly recommend for couple or friends.

Hotel is located very near to Kyoto Station; about 5 mins walk. Small room with all required amenities.
Hotel provides free self-service beverages for all hotel guest at its cafe. It even gave all guests a complimentary drink at night, which is such a nice gesture for guests to unwind and relax before retiring back to room.
I personally find that the room is of a just nice size for 1 pax. I would recommend only for 1 pax or 2 pax without large/many luggages as the luggage stand is kinda small even for a 25" luggage. There is not much room for too many large luggages.
Overall, it was a pleasant hotel stay.

The hotel is in a great location, close to the railway station and the public areas are attractive and inviting. The live music each evening is great. However the hotel has rules that do not allow you to use glass or crockery in the rooms. Instead you are supposed to put beverages you are taking to the room into takeaway coffee cups. What other hotel would do this? Surely we are all adults. At one stage the bar tender, whose manner was quite officious, followed us at pace to the south wing and required us to tip our 'welcome' drinks into one of these coffee cups before we could proceed to our room. We don't ever use these take away coffee cups in Australia for environmental reasons and who wants a gin and tonic in a take away cup? Also the hotel did not seem able/prepared to cater for individual drink and dietary requirements - no flexibility.
