Excellent place for a place to sleep if travelling to see the sights in Kyoto and Nara. Very close to the train station literally about 2 minutes away. Stayed here for four nights. The room is small but the bed isnt thankfully. The room was clean so were the sheets, yakuta and towels. The pod like bathroom is reasonably sized with a great bidet. The AC works like a dream and there is a television to watch even though there werent any English channels. The reception staff spoke marginal English but were very helpful and would go out of their way to help you.
To eat, the Seattle Coffee House in the foyer does a buffet breakfast and there are tons of hotels in the area you can pop into to eat. Afternoon and evening grub can be snagged at one of the many eateries at Kyoto Station. You can even go to Isetan and get some grub in the basement, come back to the hotel and use the microwave in the foyer.
i would recommend this hotel to single travellers on a budget, my room cost £112 for four nights
