Nice and modern building. All CLEAN. Great location as it is very near the Kyoto station. They have a clear travel direction board in the lobby. It’s a big hostel so it’s quite crowded. Toilets are available on every floor but showers are only on the first floor. They are all spotless clean. String jet showers. However, there are only 6 showers so queuing can take a long time.
The receptionist is open from 8, they speaks English well & provide Kyoto one day bus pass.

If you like clean, modern and busy place, then this is a good place for you. But, if you are more to quieter place and more traditional, i think you better find a ryokan or smaller guesthouse.

5 mins walk from Kyoto Station, but pay attention where you exit, you wanna exit to the back side of the huge Kyoto Station therefore you're safe from walking outside around half of the station. Best hostel out of 7 hotels/hostels we stayed in on our 15 days trip in Japan. It was exquisitely clean, staffs were English fluent & gave useful info about Kyoto, wifi access good, very nice and fresh interior design, delish and various unlimited breakfast. Room is rather small but the bed is huge and comfy. The minor drawback of this place is just the bathroom is at the 1st floor, bedrooms starts from 2nd, so if you wake up a little bit late, you might cross with ppl having breakfast. But the bathroom is perfectly clean and well equipped with lots of stools in front of big mirrors and they provide hairdryer near every stools. Best value for the price we paid.

I stayed here for 7nights. Having stayed in a few hostels in Japan which have always been great experiences. I have to say this is probably the best yet. The staff were really nice and helpful. Hostel was new and spotlessly clean. The daily breakfast was simple but more than sufficient.
I had to change my booking at the last minute during super peak Sakura season and the staff helped me get a room. They really do go above and beyond to help.
Common areas were spotless and everything was fully stocked at all times.

Can't say enough good things.

first impressions very clean, chilled out communal area and bar with happy hour (200JPY beers :)
quick check in and up to the 8 share room. A king single bed with enough room inside your 'area' to keep all your bags, its a perfect size! If you get the beds on top near the window you may need an eye mask for the morning light and ear plugs (standard for any hostel!)
Free breakfast, internet, wifi, & can rent bikes. staff were awesome, perfect english and so helpful! will stay here again and tell friends too

Room Tip: 8 shared mixed room- top bunks will have lots of light when someone comes in late and rudely turns t...

Located just 5 minutes from Kyoto station, it has everything I need for a budget hostel. Cheap price, clean bathroom, comfy common room, unlimited breakfast, wifi access, and all the staff were very helpful and fluent in English. I stayed in a double room which was very small for two people, but since I spent my time in hostel only for sleeping during the night, I wouldn't mind for this minor drawback.
