Owariya has more than 500 years experience of making soba noodle dishes and it shows. This is not the head branch, but the quality has not changed in the kilometre that separates it from there.
Most of the dishes are pretty pricey, but if you go for breakfast (from 9.30), you can get a super deal. For 500 yen there is a choice between a dish of soba with seasonings, pickles and rice or the same; but the noodles come in a smoky soup (kake). We opted for the kake and were blown away. The broth is so flavourful and the noodles are some of the best soba you will ever taste.
You will leave feeling full and happy with the price.
