I must have eaten at 20 different ramen places in Japan during my visit and Ippido Nishikikoji was the best hands-down. I won't sully the ramen by trying to describe it, just go order some and enjoy a good decision.

They had English menus.

Ippudo is a great ramen chain. They have standardised ramen in the best way I have seen. Watch out for spicyness, even level 4/5 is super hot. Don't forget to order gyoza, the pan fried pork dumpling originally created in China.

This place was introduced to me from a friend from Fukoaka - the best place for Ramen. Everytime I am in the neighborhood I try their Ramen and Gyoza. They are delicious. Service like always is very pleasant. Have introduced many people to this place and they all love it

A pretty bold statement but I stand by it - the best ramen I have ever eaten! I chose the bean paste ramen (and I got it with a level 4 - out of 5 -spice!), very flavoursome and had a good kick of spice! Also had some gyoza on the side which were little but very tasty :) There is an option to "bulk-up" your ramen by adding extra noodles, which is great for anyone with a big appetite (the regular size was plenty for me!)
Quick and friendly service, all in all a great lunch, and I recommend highly!

We came in this restaurant for two nights and we had a great food here. The ramen was very good.. We tried the classic one and the spicy ramen.. Both were very tasty and the gyoza also was really good.. Like all the good restaurants in Japan there is a bit of time to wait outside.
I recommend this restaurant without recitation.
