we arrived Kyoto at 10 pm at the JR Kyoto station. The hotel is just across the street from the station, extremely convenient for a stopover as well as a abase for exploring Kyoto. The bus station is just one traffic light away.
the front desk staff were efficient and friendly, the rooms were comfortable, and the price was very reasonable. I

Room Tip: ask for nonsmoking room

This hotel is really convenient especially if you have lots of luggage in tow. It is situated right in front of the station and has direct access to it by crossing the road, or passing through the pedestrian subway with the entrance right outside of the hotel. Front desk speaks English well hence no problem with check-in and check-out. Nice touch on the free entrance ticket to the Kyoto Tower. A Lawson convenience store is located one block away, and Starbucks is right around the corner of the building. Rooms are small but adequate. At this rate you cannot really expect a five-star hotel accommodation. Nice and comfortable stay, amazingly quite even with all the trains and buses right outside the window.

Room Tip: pick a room facing the station... it is really nice to look at the movement at night.

Stayed here recently. Nice hotel, gd location just outside Kyoto station. Htl guest given voucher to go up Kyoto tower to see the view. Was breathtaking. Can see the whole of Kyoto. There's Daiso in the same building, very convenient. There's also a common bath on B3 where u pay 400 yen for a hot bath. Must go out of the Htl at the side.

What a quaint little hotel this is - and so incredibly convenient to Kyoto Station - right across the road!

My Semi-double room would have to be the smallest I have ever stayed at, and it is so narrow that the bed is basically the width of the room. But that's OK as Kyoto is a tourist's paradise and this hotel has been booked just for sleeping.

The bathroom is compact as well, yet has a bath/shower and even a bidet attached to the toilet!

All guests receive a complimentary entrance ticket to Kyoto Tower - 95 metres high with 180 degree sweeping views of the city. There is also the opportunity to visit the bath house on B3 for a discounted entry fee if 400 yen (but even at that price bit worth it if you will visiting a hot spring as part of your trip).

So all up, considering I am only sleeping here, and that it is only across the road from JR Kyoto station - this place is a steal at only 6500 yen.

Stayed: December 2013, traveled as a couple

You cant make a mistake finding this hotel. Just a minute from station. This is a big advantage. Everything else was just average. Rooms a bit dark, usual size. Too noisy if you open a window. Sometimes it was smelly! something wrong with sewerage. Carpets are overused.
Breakfast is good but expansive. And no wi-fi in rooms.
