The staff was expectional with meeting our needs. We had only a short stay here but our room was large and up-to-date. The grand entrance of this hotel is impressive. I would certainly stay here again when visiting Kyoto.

We stayed at the Brighton 3 nights . We were well served in room , at the breakfast and in the restaurant. Room was very nice . The bathroom with bathtub and separate shower . Very comfortable. Free Internet in the room and the common areas.
Breakfast is rich , Japanese and intercontinental! The staff very helpful and respectful.... the way it is in whole Japan . The location of the hotel is not near any transportation. You need a taxi to go around , which you will have additional-cost.

This hotel is located in a quite neighborhood, it offers a shuttle, to take you to downtown each 20' . If not you need to use a taxi. The staff is excellent, the rooms clean and large, the price affordable for a 5 stars hotel, ~ $ 175 without breakfast. Schuichi Yamamoto, in charge of the guest service section does a very good job. Remember that for ~ $ 18 a piece you can sent in Japan your luggage from one hotel to the other. If you gave them your luggage before 5 p.m. you will, get it at your new hotel at ~ 12 p.m.

Understated luxury with a Japanese twist. We had a premium room which has separate, small bed and living areas. It seemed newly and nicely decorated and was very clean. The hotel provides a range of teas including a bowl for matcha tea. It was a pleasure to be here. The major downside is that all the restaurants offer expensive set menus - no casual dining options - and it's about 10-15 minutes walk to find alternatives.

We enjoyed our stay at the Brighton Hotel in Kyoto. It was clean and nice and centrally located. We were able to walk to the public transportation options and also catch taxis from the hotel. Breakfast was also nice.
