Small but clean, comfortable and nice rooms. "Comfortable" means that everything you need is present - water cooker, free towels, bath with bath tub, enough electrical sockets (110V !) and cost-free adapters, TV, laundry racket. Because of the limited space, it's never really "comfortable" in Japan, from the point of view of Non-Japanese people. We visited several hotels in Japan and now we know, that you have to pay much higher prices for bigger rooms even in small villages. The location is perfect. Main station is very close. The rooms are perfectly silent. Every room provides a big self-made booklet with numerous good tips for cheap and nice restaurants and locations close to the hotel. The staff speaks a very good English and is very helpful, flexible and friendly. The common room is big, clean and nice with a small Zen garden (probably much nicer during summer time), Japanese style zone, hot water + tea + coffee for free. We were there for 5 days during autumn time, visited several locations in Kyoto and environment, lived for three days in Japanese style twin room and for the rest of time in a standard double room. We had a very good time. Thank you very much!

- We are a hostel, please do not expect luxury. Our ensuite are small and without daily-maid because we focused on providing basic ensuite rooms for the price of youth hostel dormitories in Kyoto. We offer cheaper dormitory too. If you need more than the basics, we cannot meet your needs.
