This hotel is located in a quiet suburb in the north of Kyoto. Kyoto is very easy to reach via clean and easy to understand subway-system or busses. The station is only a few minutes walk. The hotel is clean, unspectacular in its interior design, and has large rooms for a Japanese hotel. Staff speak very little English, the breakfast is ok, but not great. I would stay there again, if I want to be away from the noises and the dust of the city.
