Stayed here as part of a tour, and found the rooms to be very spacious and clean, with a shower separate from the bath! The wifi only worked in the lobby, which was a little inconvenient. The breakfast was adequate, beds were comfortable, and the curtains blocked the light sufficiently. The bathroom was very large.

Me and my family stayed in the hotel in the beginning of this Aug. 2013. Very Looooong corridor Build around with only 3 !!! elevators for all 8 Floors !!!. The rugs gives you a filling that they are dusty and its fill you have to take with you a canteen of water to get well to your room from the elevators. Not a good Value and not in a good location.

This was a lovely venue and the rooms were spacious. The hotel is located outside Kyoto city, but there is the option of metro or bus just a short walk away. There are several dining choices at the hotel - Chinese, French, Japanese. We tried the Japanese restaurant for a dinner and a lunch and both were delicious and well presented. We also dined twice at the local sushi restaurant which was within walking distance. Service was kaiten style and the staff was very pleasant. There is a convenience store nearby as well as a post office with an international ATM. There is free wifi in the lobby area only.

Stayed here for 3 nights and I was seriously impressed. The amenities and service at the hotel are great. The only thing I can find fault with really is the totally random décor! It's a bizarre mixture of chintz (think flowery wallpaper in the shower!) and modern (very attractive bedrooms) but that doesn't take away from the great service and convenient location. Only tried the lounge bar which had a great range of drinks and the food looked good, but it was buffet style. Bear in mind that things close early by Western standards... Good base from which to explore. The view from our room (825 I believe) was stunning.

Room Tip: Try to get a room facing the mountains as you get a wonderful uninterrupted view out across some lov...

The hotel is located outside of the main city area and is secluded however it does have a train station on the property allowing for easy access (Station K01) - the 15 min journey to the centre of town is comfortable. Hotel room itself is comfy and offers a separate basin and dressing area from the bathroom itself. Two things that could be improved: 1. Get a second lift on the other half of the circle ( one has to walk all the way around the building, especially if you staying around rooms 33-38) ; 2. Provide Wifi access in the rooms (free wifi only allowed in the lobby and the wired connection cost Y1000 a day which is pricey).

Stayed 2 nights, booked by travel agent. Not centrally located. Nice park around hotel, good for running.
Worst flaw is the lack of WiFi in room (it is available in the lobby free of charge). Wired Internet in room is very expensive (1000 yen per 24 hours). Room and bathroom reasonably spacious although decor is quite dated. Usual amenities, except for no safe.
The hotel runs a "green cleaning program" that awards the guest 500 yen to spend in the gift shop for agreeing to forgo room cleaning. The problem is that all items in the gift shop are labeled in Japanese only and the staff does not speak English.
Good breakfast.

reasonable walk from the station ..beautiful surrounds..great rooms ...great staff and service..my only complaint was for the price breakfast should have been included...I would recommend it as great place to stay but either be prepared to take your own breakfast provisions or save up the $50 AUS for 2 for breakfast....nearest shop about 1.5 km.

Room Tip: choose non smoking rooms on the 6th floor
