This is the best place to stay if you need a well located and functional place with a fair price for a good service. The staff also is extremely polite and helpful, all English speakers. We had very good tips on restaurants and transportation from the staff and they also helped us with trip schedule and booking all kinds of stuff. The hotel is close to a subway station and many bus stations. The area ditto undoing the hotel is very busy at night, full of nice restaurants, lovely to walk around! Great restaurants in a walking distance. Also for breakfast, if you don't like big buffets, there's a small boulangerie where you can have a good and cheap breakfast.

Positives:
Great location
Excellent staff
Cleaningness
Quiet rooms
Reasonable price

Negatives:
Very small rooms
No room service
No gym

I'd definitely recommend this place for those who want a good place to stay but are not planning on spending the day in the hotel (witch is almost mandatory I'm kyoto!)

The staff is very helpful and polite Japanese style. Location was good nearby sanjo station.
The entrance and lobby of the hotel is very stylish but rooms doesn't meet the same standards. Rooms very simple and kind of small. The hotel doesn't not include breakfast in tariff. Overall very overpriced.

This is a good business hotel in a central location. For Japanese business hotels it is on the higher end, with a bit more space in the rooms, which are well equipped. Bathroom is nicely kitted out and has a lot of space. Plasma TV, no VOD. A very minor irritation was arriving at 13:30 and being told to wait to 14:00 for check-in - symptom of the hotel's very high efficiency. The area around the hotel is very 'busy' - lots of shops and things to do - the 'Oxford St of Kyoto'. I liked it. Be careful with the entrance to the hotel - it is in a little alcove, with a massive black automatic door - nice design, but not intuitive as the front door.

This was a return visit, and the hotel was just as good as the first time. The staff are professional and helpful, the room size was fine, and there is everything needed to make real filter coffee on the hospitality tray! The hotel is brilliantly situated for many of the main sights, which are within walking distance - and we're not great walkers. The best (and, it must be said, most expensive, but worth it) hotel of our three week trip.

Not much to add to all the positive reviews on this hotel. Maybe the only complaint could be the lack of storage space, but all the rest is brilliant. Very helpful English speaking staff. I had breakfast at the nearby boulangerie, but a very good buffet lunch at the hotel's restaurant. I would definitely reccomend this hotel.

This hotel looks like a modern business hotel. Yet, it is very inviting with interesting decor and lighting. The building is squeezed into what seems like an L-shaped space which means that you have to walk in and turn twice before getting to the check-in desk. The staff is very helpful especially the concierge who will provide you with maps and directions to sites. The room are not large but the space is adequate. Housekeeping service is great with the room kept exceptionally clean. One day we returned earlier than planned and saw the maid on her hands and knees washing the bathroom floor! Wi-fi is free and works well. The hotel has several restaurants and a bar. We enjoyed our breakfast there. The buffet was generous with both Japanese and Western selections. One could also order eggs to order. Be warned the restaurant can be crowded for the early morning rush. Next door is a bakery that has wonderful treats and coffees. Nearby is a covered mall with shops and restaurants. There is even a Pachinko Parlor if you are into noisy "gambling".

Room Tip: Although the street noise wasn't a problem, I would ask for a room away from the main street so...

AMAZING!!!! Highly recommend. Fabulous service, extremely comfy beds and pillows and very clean. Gave us fresh flowers for our honeymoon. People at the reception spoke very well english.
It was snowing the day we left and the lady at the reception desk was outside in the horrible weather finding us a cab.
