From the service to the location, this is indeed the place to be when one visit Kyoto. Strategically located within walking distance to shopping place, cultural places and also subway stations.
Excellent choice for breakfast available in the lovely Charles Chaplin Cafe that is suitable for people of all ages.
There are also many good choices of Food & Beverage outlets within walking distance from the hotel.

Very good service, very well located. Very close to public transport and to commercial area. Excelent Japanese breakfast. Not so expensive. Very good choice!

For the price we paid ( by booking early) this is a truly great hotel. Located in front of the covered shopping arcade, and a 10 minute walk to Potoncho and probably 15 mins to Gion. The rooms are immaculate and the reception staff very helpful.

Hotel is located in downtown - in walk access to shopping and dining streets. It is very convenient place for travelers who have limited time to see the most interesting places in Kyoto including famous temples and shrines.

We really liked this hotel and would definately stay here again.

The location is ideal. You can walk to places, restaurants, some of the temples.
There is a good and cheap restaurant with set menus next door. Give it a try. The eggplant dish was really good. So was the miso. There are many restaurants and shops around, which is quite convenient.

The hotel is nice and staff speak good English and are very helpful. They recommend taking buses to go to places that are actually not that far. But I guess it is ok to take a bus when it is really cold. They will answer all your questions, which is quite nice. 5 stars for service.

The hotel rooms are nice and comfortable. They are bigger than most Japanese rooms, buts still small of course. The bathroom was also better. It doesn't feel so much like you are inside an airplane toilet.

My only complaint would be the breakfast. It cost 20 USD, which is a lot, considering most comparable hotels charge 10. They didn't have that many options for Western people anyway. So we found another place to have breakfast at, 150 meters away. We paid 5 usd each and it was good.
